I have a feeling that Snape won't like what he finds there. By the look of Harry, first thing he would find would be a mass of swirling thoughts, emotions and memories.
I won't like to go in for a walk...........

A very intense and well written chapter. You paint such a graphic last scene that I found it hard to get the sight of the two of them out of my head. Thank you

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for your lovely review! I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. I'm currently half way through chapter three, so it won't be too long until I post!

This story is beautifully written and clearly created with an understanding of the topic being explored. Your characterization of Snape is wonderfully accurate, and Harry's experience is so painfully real and believable. I eagerly await the next update.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for this wonderful review, it really means a lot! I am thrilled you find Snape in character and the story believable! I am currently writing chapter three, so it will not be too long until I update!

Well, that backfired. Problem with psychological warfare is that even the most mundane things can become hair triggers. Like the trigger, while caused by his mother's photo, could simply be red hair and all of tom's ginger victims. Or, more likely, the long forced loop of That Night. All Lily has (unfortunately) ever been was the first death Harry has been surrounded by. One of too many.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for taking the time to review!

It's true, even the most mundane things can become triggers in such cases. However, without giving too much away, it wasn't merely Lily's hair that made Harry react like that. Of course, it did play a part, but if Harry were to see Ginny or Ron, he would not have the same reaction. Lily plays a much bigger part in all of this. I think chapter three will make that clear.

    Thanks again,

    Merope :)
