Janet is an absolute moron. Even if Harry wasn't abused, that is the absolute WORST way to express a huge change to a child!!! Any kid would feel unwanted or shoved aside!! On his birthday no less... This story is kind of difficult to read :/ very very well written! But really difficult. I hope Harry just goes to live with Sirius instead.
Hm, given from Harry's perspective, its rather obvious that he would be distraught. The pattern went the same way, didn't it? Ron was being a bit cool about it, but I don't think that he needed pity at the moment, so I guess, making Harry angry was the best way present to take him out of his brooding.

That was a really good chapter. I like that Ron is being supportive to his friend, but also telling him the truth. I really hope that Harry and Severus can sit down together and find the middle ground, all those years together must count for something, but Severus needs to be the one to make the first move - he's really been blinded by love for Janet.
Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review, it's good to know that people enjoy reading this. I tried to keep Ron as canon as possible but with my own little twist of character. I think he's fascinating. Harry and Severus will certainly talk things out in the next chapter, but that doesn't Mena things will be sorted out that quickly. ;)

Author's Response: Thank you for the wonderful review ;) and I would be willing to continue this in one shots after the the third chapter, showing different stages in their lives. I believe there are so much angst or drama I can drain from this fic.
