I really really like the student court, it was an excellent touch to add to the fair minded Hufflepuffs, and really makes things like Susan's aunt being part of the Wisengamot seem really fully fleshed out and like it has roots in this first little bit of her past in hufflepuff (assuming she was).

A sequel to this story would be a great read. Harry and Snape becoming a family (How with the ministry still accusing of being a Death eater? Albus?)What about Voldy?

Just finished reading this and I loved it. You wrote Harry's anxiety really well and how it played into things was so realistic to see. This story was so much more than I was expecting - with including Draco and his own issues, as well as Ron struggling with change, and things like that. It made everything more immersive - I was so intrigued by everything!

I think the way you've portrayed each house was very impressive - you didn't skim over Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, instead taking the time to flesh each house out (Gryffindor too) yet without spending more time/chapters than necessary since it's Slytherin and Snape that was most exciting to get to. The way you described the rules of each house and how other houses thing the others break rules - that whole thing actually made me stop and think, cuz it feels so legit. I love exploring the differences between other houses and breaking down stereotypes/assumptions, so this was a great read just from start to finish. I didn't agree with everything, but that's fine - we all have our own perspectives and preferences. I can feel you put a lot of thought and care into this, which I really appreciate. Because I loved it, of course I wish this story was a lot longer - yet I think it was the length it needed to be. You're very good at pacing things.

When Harry had the project, I was worried you might not include his results - but you did show his entire presentation and I think that was one of the best moments in the fic. I'd have liked to see a few more reactions from it, especially Snape hearing Harrys' opinion of Slytherin, but overall that moment was so memorable. Anyway, this whole fic was brilliant! When I started reading, I didn't expect it would go as deep as it did or how things ended so that was a nice (yet emotional, damnit) surprise. Thank you most of all for writing Harry as you did - his anxiety, I feel, really added layers to everything and made this story so much more interesting and heartfelt. I think my favourite thing was the coats - the sharing of that, and from Draco - just everything associated with Harry's coat situation was my favourite.

Anyway, this is super long oops! I have so many thoughts and feelings about this story. Thank you so much for writing and sharing it. I feel this is something I'll often return to and re-read. :)

Author's Response: Hi Watercrystals!  I love some of your stories, so I'm happy to read your reviews of mine.  I'm curious now what you didn't agree with (I've heard other people's opinions about that and would like to hear yours as well as I appreciate constructive criticism as my goal with writing is always to get better).  I really enjoy writing in depth emotions and the complexity of characters in the stories and trying to flesh them out.  I generally try to write stories as if I was the reader and write what I would want to read (because I go back and re-read my own also occasionallyjust for something to read that I already know I like).  If you have anything else to say about the story I'd like to hear it.  Long reviews are fine :)  You can e-mail me if you don't want to converse on the reviews section.

Oh my god this story is so good!!! I can't believe I've never read another fic with some kind of inter house exchange program before, and your explanations of the differences between houses make the sorting make so much more sense in that it's about the environment t they would do best in not just arbitrary characteristics of 11 year olds.
