Snape is going to some effort to make things comfortable for Harry. More than he would for duty's sake. I wonder when he will admit to himself that Harry isn't like his father and Snape is beginning to like him.
Harry will be in for a shock when he wakes up. At least Snape will heal him and Harry will not be wandering around outside.
Poor Harry. He really is in a jam. Though I think he could get away with ordering food without wearing his cloak if he has the money to pay for it.
Author's Response: True, he could, especially if he went to Diagon Alley to get muggle money (I don't think the goblins care about human age laws) and spent it in the muggle world. But his problem solving skills aren't evolved to that point yet (I always thought he and Ron were foolish to take the flying car, but suppose it's just child logic), and he is so used to not having enough food that he doesn't really use his brains to solve the problem. Snatching food while the Dursleys aren't looking is something he's used to.
'Dream' Snape is certainly working hard to look after Harry. Don't think Harry will believe it when his fever subsides. BTW 'different' was meant as a compliment. Snape wasn't OOC, just well described as more than 1 dimensional. He is definitely slightly grumpy, certainly impatient, and some of his slightly rebellious thoughts made me smile.
Author's Response: Oh, I see, thank you!
It's always a bit of a challenge to not make him too nice. ^^
I love this story. I can't wait for it to continue. I hope you spend good Christmas with your loved ones. Greetings from your Italian fan Raffaella
Author's Response: Thank you so much. I hope you have a merry Christmas, too. :)
I love how Harry believes it is all a Dream.
Author's Response: Thanks! I recall having had vivid nightmares when I had fever as child, and even being awake felt somewhat strange, so I thought Harry would think he's dreaming, especially since Snape is so strangely nice to him.
I like Severus' reaction to Harry.
Author's Response: Thank you!
Hopefully Sev will piece together Harry’s story....
Author's Response: No worries!
Nice chapter. I can't wait for it to continue. Kisses from your Italian fan Raffaella
Author's Response: Thank you! New chapter is online.
I really like this, especially how you are showing Severus' character. He's just a little bit different to how he's often written. Looking forward to seeing what sort of Christmas he's planned for himself and Harry.
Author's Response: Thanks! In which way do you mean he's different? I do try to keep him in character.
