Reviews For Searching for Wellness
Author's Response: Glad you enjoyed that. Not gonna lie, I was trying to somewhat mirror the introduction to the Philosopher's Stone.
I love the interactions between Severus and Harry, I love seeing Snape Care. Weherever you are I hope you have a good day and I await an update egarly, but ofc at your convinince. Love, Penname Author's Response: Thank you for the review! I'm sorry you ended up staying up so late to read this and it's not even done! I'm glad you enjoyed what you read though. Only a few more chapters on this one, but the next chapter is finally up!
Author's Response: Thank you! Thank you very much!
Author's Response: I vaguely mention this in another chapter, but Severus is going to avoid those questions for as long as physically possible.
Author's Response: He needed a happy moment. And making an appearance in front of the students was an added benefit. Initially, it felt rather jarring to add (this scene and the Hagrid scene from earlier were originally one scene), but it ended up working better than I could have hoped. Muscles start to get weaker after only 3 days of bedrest. That was actually one of the first things I learned when I started working in ICU. We (prior to COVID) have physical therapists and occupational therapists who come around and do therapies with our patients while they are on sedation vacation (sedation is turned off so we can better judge if they need to be on ventilators or not). There are protocols for how long a patient needs to sit up every day, what sorts of activities they need to be doing, and what their therapy goals are. All of this to prevent muscle wastage which can lengthen hospital stays. So, one month of laying around and having your body feeding on your muscles for energy will end up with you not being able to stand.
Author's Response: Gotta keep them Malfoys on their toes!
Author's Response: Exactly. I felt kinda bad for pulling the "Lily's son" gimmick so hard, but if it works, it works.
Author's Response: So, originally this scene was going to be Severus riding on the carriages with Hagrid to Hogsmeade at the end of the year, but then Julian/Harry needed more time to recover without me going "ooo, magic" and I ended up bumping up the entire timeline by a month. And then I realized I had an extra month of time I had to fill.... But yeah, Hagrid is the best for asking about dangerous magical creatures, no doubt about that.
Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoy this! I really do! I know this fic is very information heavy and can get rather hard to slog through from time to time, so adding chapters like this to liven it up a little brought joy to my heart! Thank you so much for all your reviews, btw. They really help spur me along!
Author's Response: Glad to have you here! Hope you enjoy! |
