Please, don't take this the wrong way, but Tonks' investigation and suspicions PERFECTLY match what I've said ever since I read the books: Either Rowling's parallel universe is *really* screwed-up when it comes to child abuse OR "someone's" been preventing Harry from being rescued and more than likely has been "encouraging" the Dursleys to make Harry's life as miserable and painful as possible, just short of killing him!
Why? So that he's willing and *eager* to leave *this* wretched life and allow Moldy to kill him --and kill the Horcrux in Harry-- which will fulfill the bs Prophecy and then Dingleberry can step up and kill Moldy and be the big hero again!
The really sad thing is that I know exactly how Harry felt! I failed twice to kill myself before I was even a teenager! If I hadn't had my *escape* --my books like "Jane Eyre", "Thursday's Child", and "Tom Brown's School Days" and others that told of adults who did *care* and did *rescue* the abused, neglected, and bullied kids; the books that gave me *hope* of escaping my childhood misery!-- I might have tried again and succeeded!
I'll tell you one thing if I'd read the HP books at that time in my life, I'd have given up hope and tried a lot harder!
I hope you kill off the MOB! Pleeeease??

The very first line made me laugh. “Why is it my Slytherins currently have an obsession with consuming potatoes.” =0) I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that Ron is spilling the beans. You can’t keep secrets from your friends. I’m curious to see how long it takes for the Griffendors to confront Elias. Thanks for the great update.

Excellent chapter. I’m so glad you have taken the neglect that Dumbledore showed to Harry and had tanks find it. I’ve always really liked her as a character and I dislike Dumbledore for his “greater good” speeches and how he treated a vulnerable child. I have a feeling that the story Severus and Harry concocted is going to be blown open and I dread what will happen to our two, I hope electricity can save the day! Speaking of that I love the potato clock and the slytherins eating them!

This is a fantastic chapter. I really enjoyed Ron applying his head for strategic thinking towards the conundrum of Harry’s disappearance and Elias’s emergence. So exciting that you have the whole plot line for this story planned out. Thanks again for this great chapter.

I'll admit I'm not sure about where this is going. Ron having his suspicions is maybe fine, and Neville wondering about the options, but Hermione with her self righteousness is pretty much guaranteed she's going to take it to Dumbledore or someone else that means it gets back to Dumbledore anyway. And then Elias and snape are both in a helluva lotta trouble. I gotta admit -- again-- lol that I'm I'm ridiculously impressed with your Tonks. The fact that she recognized the pattern, found Dumbledores trail, and had the brilliance of mind to make copies both of her memory and the documents.... I mean she is truly a work of art in this story. I'm excited to see her role continue and grow even more significant. I swear I'm trying to not go into a long rant like usual lol I just have so many thoughts as I'm reading. Draco convincing everybody to eat potatoes is such a draco thing to do. He doesn't understand but what he does understand he takes and runs with it lol and snape realizing how big Harry's project really is, that's brilliant too! I mean no one has studied this and it's crazy not to cause muggles haven't been hiding in a dark corner somewhere. They've been inventing and creating and destroying and growing as a species while the wizarding world still thinks they're churning butter in the yard. It's like an uprising that's not even am uprising. Just a quiet tide that could easily wash over the whole wizarding world. I mean, one bomb + 1 disgruntled squib or muggleborn who can point out its location, and bye bye Hogwarts .... swear I really tried not to ramble. Feel free to ignore me
Ooh, things are heating up rapidly now! Hermione is still annoying, but at least she's thinking.
