Loved it so much. You got living with a toddler so right! I presume the rat that was not a rat was Peter?
Author's Response: Good to know I got that right. I’ve never lived with a toddler before and have little reference outside of what coworkers talk about and the wild stories I read on the internet. Kids kinda freak me out, tbh! And yes, that was Peter. I kinda imagined the Severus putting a spell on the hole in the wall to stop the rat from getting out and Peter just dying in there.... a bit morbid though.

A very sweet story. I think that sentiment gets to the heart of what all parents feel - we’ll never feel ready, but are doing the best we can.
Author's Response: So .... funny story. I’m not a parent and kids kinda freak me out. I have nothing other than what coworkers say about their kids to base anything on.... Glad you enjoyed it though! I needed to write some (non-medical) sap!
