Woah! Incredible pace of healing. I am so glad that Harry got help, and it's real, and hard work, and goes back and forth. It's very realistic. Healing is messy and difficult. You managed to capture the journey very well.

Wow! Powerful chapter. Poor Harry. I bet Snape was freaked to come home to that. I hope they figure out how to really help Harry.
I like your description of the end as reflecting a sense of the ongoing and open-ended battle of self-harm. I’m simply glad that Harry has Severus and professional help now, as he looks to the future. If you ever do write some one-shots for this universe, I will certainly enjoy reading them. I went and made a new account, coming back to this site after years and years of absence, just to let Harry know that it's possible. I'm 27, I've been clean for 13 years. It's exhausting and there are gonna be days when its so, so hard but you can do it!
Your mind will go to some pretty dark places. It takes time but one day you'll have a toolbox of coping mechanisms (or fail safes as i called them before I knew what the term was) to help keep you safe. Alternatives that can help interrupt your spiral before your cogs fly apart. Reading, writing, crafty hobbies, or even a good nap are all great ways to pump the brakes. And its okay to feel sad while you do them! I'm prone to wallowing but letting myself feel my feelings helps me. If it helps you, do it!
