Reviews For No Bed of Roses
I liked the beginning with Regulus and the PI, and it's good to see some sort of continuation in regards to the search to save Harry and the sass of the PI was funny. I also liked the little check in we got on Dudley. It's nice that he's come such a long way. Lastly, as per usual, it's always funny to see the people new to working out try to get into fitness, particularly the people who refuse to take it seriously, like Draco.
Lovely mixture of characters in this chapter and a very interesting insight into Eileen/Iris and how she stayed in the muggle world, thank you so much
Absolutely amazing! The best work I read in many many months <3 I can't wait to see how it continues and how Severus and Harry (I hope) will start liking each other (someday) Holly is absolutely sweetheart <3 Author's Response: Thank you - your review means alot 😁
Author's Response: Slow and steady progress for our Severus
Lovely long chapter, thank you. Pomona is very wise and may have given Severus something to think about. It's so sad that Holly is asking the teachers about Jasmine and Severus is unaware of this. You seem to have joined the present writers on P& S in being hard on Ron and Hermione. I don't have a problem with Ron he left Harry on several occasions, but I do care about Hermione. She always stood by Harry and surpported him in all his actions and I think she would have been compassionate and loving towards Holly. Minerva's thoughts on Harry and his time at Hogwarts were very interesting and I agree that she consistently let him down. Thank you for a great chapter. Author's Response: I never actually intended to be so hard on Hermione and Ron. They were originally supposed to love Holly too but somehow during the summer chapters, Ron tried to persuade Harry to let Holly go and Hermione seemed to agree with him and I was like, "Whoa, where did that come from?" and now they're refusing to back down. I love the trio myself, they're all so flawed in canon, and I seem to have just pulled at those threads, and it's just unravelling in ways I didn't anticipate.
Author's Response: Severs does like to bury his head in the sand in more than one way
Very good story though. Author's Response: Thanks for your review - I appreciate it. I'll bear in mind the pacing as I can see what you mean.
Author's Response: Who knows with Umbridge? Severus still has a long way to go but he's beginning to take the first reluctant steps
What a brilliant long chapter with so much plot movement. I almost thought that Severus was learning some sense when it came to Harry and Holly and I loved the story of the desk, a lovely touch reminding us of Oma. Lucius has his work cut out with Draco and Severus and Draco has proved once again what's spoilt boy he is I'm surprised Minerva did not take points from him. Great to see Dolores back in the story, not sure what the "Guadian Medallions" are but they sound bad news in her hands. Thank you so much for updating your wonderful story |
