Nicely written conversation between Harry and Severus. I'm not sure seeing Prongs will help - it may just bring up memories of James and his actions as a bully.

Author's Response: Thank you for your comment, I’m happy you liked it! And maybe, or maybe not ;)

Loved it! Thanks so much, looking forward to the next chapter.

Author's Response: Thank you! I’m glad you liked it :) And it shouldn’t take long for me to update the next one. Probably next week!

Thank you, I must admit that I cried during this chapter it was so moving. Andromeda’s strength and her refusal did surprise me but in thinking about it I realise that it shouldn’t.
She knew that she was saying goodbye when they left and she knows that she must be strong in order to do what she must for Teddy’s sake. I’m glad she did refuse and give Harry pause to think about the stone in a different way.
Thank you for a wonderful chapter

Author's Response: Am I evil if I get happy when I make someone cry? :P Sorry about that, but it is a huge compliment :) And thank you for your words about Andromeda! I never had every single part of the story planned out but her not needing/wanting to use the Stone was something that was clear in my mind. I wanted to write an opposite reaction to the Weasleys. The canon information about her rising Teddy and choosing to live, even after losing everyone she loved, made me think that she was the perfect candidate. Anyway, thanks for reading and for the comment, hope you are having a good day :)

Terrific update. Andromeda is very wise. I also liked Ginny’s advice for Harry. It was very astute. I wasn’t surprised to see Snape there, and I’m looking forward to seeing them interact again soon. Thanks for the great update, and I hope you’re feeling better!

Author's Response: Thank you! I am feeling better, fortunately. I even went back to work which... could have waited a few days hahah And I'm happy that you liked Ginny's advice. I love her character and, even if her relationship with Harry is not the main focus of this story, I still want to do justice to them and her character. And you will get your wish about Snape and Harry really soon, I'm updating now ;)

I read this story for the first time today and struggled to put it down.

Firstly, I'm very sorry for your loss. I know it was a little while ago now, but still wanted to offer my sympathies.

In answer to your question, I did think Snape would be there. He wanted to pay his respects to Lupin and Tonks, and wasn't going to let Harry get in the way of that. Perhaps McGonagall already told him of the funeral, before Harry did.

I wasn't surprised at all about Andromeda. She's quite wise.

I do think that, although Snape's comments about replacing James were uncalled for and rather below the belt, he very much doesn't want Harry's help and Harry was a tiny bit patronising in the way he phrased his invite to the funeral. No one likes to be told something is good for them. I think Snape was willing to help Harry but has no intention of help going the other way and Harry kept pressing where he should have backed off.

Anyway, great fic. Keep up the good work!

Author's Response: Thank you for your words :) Regarding my mum's passing, even if it was a while ago it still hurts so I'm grateful for you sympathies <3 Focusing on the story, I like the way you read the characters and some sublte (or not so much) ways in which I write them. The part about Harry being patronizing was totally intentional and you are the first one to comment on that. I love him but, with someone like Snape, that's the worse thing you can do if you want him to listen! Anyway, hopefully the next update won't dissapoint. Thanks again for your words and have a good day!

Also, congratulations on all of your accomplishments despite everything! My sister and best friend just passed away from cancer two months ago. Reading helps me deal with the pain of loss.

I'm also super impressed with your writing. I would never be able to tell that English wasn't your first language! Thank you for taking the limited time that you have to share your talents with us.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for you kind words, I apreciate them a lot. And I'm really really sorry for you loss. It sucks so much losing people we love so dearly, please take care of yourself <3 Also I agree with you that reading (or writing) helps with the grief, so I'm glad that my story can do that for you even if it's just a bit. I hope you are having a good day, and if that's not possible, an okay one. *hugs*

Oh, Snape's reaction was heartbreaking!!! But yet I understood it. At least, to me it seems Snape WANTS those things but doesn't feel worthy so is trying to put a wall between him and Harry. So angsty! REALLY looking forward to an update?

Author's Response: I'm glad you enjoyed it, even if it was heartbreaking heheh And an update is coming you way right now! :)

Congrats on the degree and new job! The chapter end was heartbreaking. I really hope there’s a path to reconciliation not too far ahead. Thanks so much for updating.

Author's Response: Thank you so much for your words! Yeah it was heartbreaking, I’m sorry for that :( But I wanted to show that Snape is still Snape. Still hurting and angry and getting better is not going to be an easy road. But, without spoiling anything, things are going to get better. I promise :)

Thanks for updating, amid all else. I loved the optimistic feeling they woke up with, and the glimpse you offered into Snape’s current state.
