Oh dear! Arthur seems right out of character here. It’s usually Molly who is unreasonable, well done for adding an unexpected twist.
Author's Response: Actually, for a post-war scenario, I think Arthur's behavior (and even Severus' here for that matter), is quite reasonable. We've seen this capability from him during CoS with Lucious at the bookstore. But now we have an Arthur who has just lost a son a month prior, Ginny who was recently kidnapped and tortured, and Ron who had fled for months prior to the battle, with another injured son (two, if you count Bill). Understandably, he's very protective over his family. And he never saw Severus' memories and only trusts Harry's word. Well, barely. There's still a lot of broken trusts there between Arthur and Severus.
It's interesting to see Arthur being implacably opposed to Snape - usually he's written as forgiving.
Author's Response: Before the war, he would have been. After a war? It changes a lot in a person. He is just being protective of his family.
