Aw, poor Harry. Again...I love the changes. Wonder who the Order member is.

This looks like being a really great story! I don't get how Malfoy was able to get to Harry or know where he lived - but I'm sure I'll find out! Also, Dudley shouldn't be in the living room watching TV if he's just gone to pinch a bike. Anyway, I think your characters and plot are great.

No problem, as I hit the wrong button on my number keyboard, anyway... the 4 is above the 8... sigh. At least, you knoew what I meant - me & my typos!! You did fix it! 34x2=68, -40=28, so each one paid 14, at the end when Madam M charged them, with Ron none the wiser, while Harry did something kind! I loved it! Kinda' Slytherin in a Gryffindor/Hufflepuff way, with ravenclaw figuring. As the Hat said, Harry had more than a bit of each of them in him. Excellent!

Oohh! I love this one, really. But, Harry should give Madam Malkin fourty galleons, not sixty. And when did the Weasleys and Harry and Hermione go to the Burrow? I'm just a little confused at that, because Bill took Harry to Headquarters and then they flooed to Diagon Alley, from the Burrow. Otherwise, this story is amazing and you really have a great writing style-it really reads like a book and I can't wait to hit the little "next" button up there! Keep updating and I'll keep writing-I'll be to the end in no time.

I am really enjoying this fic - I had just discovered it, and was delighted to see that it is very long laready! I adore HP novels, especially when the author gets the characters' personalities so very like the are in canon - you have done marvelously! I think you also have done a great job with the situations and the dialog!
Um... Your math is a bit off, though... 34x2=64, not 60 (Harry's) + 14 (Ron's), which = 74... I sure hope Madam Malkin didn't cheat the kids out of 10 Galleons!

    Author's Response:

Lol, good call. I really do know how to do math, I promise! Thanks for pointing this out; I've fixed it now.

As for the rest of your review, thank you so much. I'm really pleased that you think I've done a good job with the characters--that almost matters more to me than plot at times, just because really, I find the relationships and interactions much more important and enjoyable.

Hope you continue to read and enjoy,

I love the idea of the new classes, especially the one that requires dueling robes. Good stuff.

I'd forgotten about all the details you included in these chapters... about the different classes they were taking and about the neat devices. Oh and the end, how Harry doesn't want to go to Hogwarts- It's funny how he used to always want to stay, but life with the Weasleys must have been a lot better. To bad Harry couldn't have been raised with a family and skipped the Dursley bit. Oh another thing I should mention, I liked how you have had Harry grieving for Sirius, it seemed in Rowlings HBP that she didn't really have Harry grieve much.

Author's Response: Well, I can't imagine it would be particularly enjoyable to go to Hogwarts when you knew none of your friends would be there... especially if you knew that Snape would be swooping around the place, trying to take points before term for your misgiving over the summer.

I was actually rather surprised, when I read HBP, that JK didn't write that much grieving in! I mean, I write this from a perspective that I lost someone I considered a parent at a younger age, and got over it when I was about 15... it took such a long time, and the pain continued for so long... I understand that. I don't think you can just brush it off. Being older, I'm sure the wound will close a lot quicker, and after a while he won't think about it as much, but it's still bound to hurt. I don't have him sitting and crying in corners and such, but he does need the grieving time, in my opinion.
