Summary: The summer after his first year at Hogwarts, Harry gets in trouble with the Ministry for unauthorized use of underage magic. Dumbledore talks the Ministry into releasing Harry, and asks Snape to step in as guardian for the summer. Snape is a reluctant guardian at first, but quickly decides that he will use this time to teach Harry about self-discipline and controlling his magic.

So- it’s been a while. A LONG while. Life got crazy and I didn’t ever finish this story. I got nervous that I wouldn’t be good enough and I let it go.
BUT- I wanted to try again, because I read through the old reviews and it made me feel like I should give it a shot. So, here’s chapter 3, a long time coming.
If people still enjoy this story, I’ll keep writing. There’s a story here I want to tell :) Also, wrote late and need to make some formatting/editing changes- will do that tomorrow.
