Summary: Everyone seems to have forgotten that the Boy-Who-Lived exists. Harry's friends don't remember who he is. It's a struggle for Harry to hold on to reality as he knows it, while at the same time coming to terms with who he really is. Charlie and Harry snog quite heavily towards the end in this chapter. The scene fades to black, and you may interpret that however you want, but do try to keep in mind that Harry is only sixteen, won't you?

Also, Snape finally makes an appearance here.

Someone asked about Ron and Hermione. There is a perfectly logical reason for their absence. It's going to take a few chapters to get there, though. Let me just say there will be no bashing, of any kind, whatsoever.

Also, for those of you who worry about that sort of thing: No, Malfoy won't come in and magically become best friends with Harry. Absolutely not. It's a question of class: Malfoy is a proper upperclass prick. Harry is no where near upperclass. Malfoy will make an appearance every now and then, but that's it.

I feel I should making something clear: When I write, it's always an ongoing experiment. Does this work? Can I do this? And so on and forth. Part of my 'test' this time is deliberately making one part of this vague. And while I'm at it anyway: I don't mind questions. I like them, just as much as I do suggestions and tips.

Why won't Ron, Hermione etc talk to Harry? What would cause something like that to happen? How can I work around it, find my explanation and insert it. So, yes, you are supposed to feel like there is, as one reviewer pointed out, one part of the puzzle missing.

This story is all about confusion and a sense of having misplaced something.

Thank you for the reviews. Some are more amusing than others to read, but all of them feeds my ego, so to speak. The snow is falling quite freely here, and has been doing so all day. It's cold and beautiful. Winter, after all, is the best season of the year if you ask me.

In this chapter we'll see a bit more of Zabini.

Someone wondered if Snape was gay. Honest? I really don't care either way, but I've made no allusions to it, either. In this story, in my mind, he's straight. Again, that's just the way I choose to see it.

On another point entirely: if you think Snape's reaction is too mellow, try and remember that Harry is almost asleep, here (in other words: wait for it-!).

Also, I've done my best, I think, to get Harry more and more stable as the story progresses from this point on. That said, Harry won't be oversensitive as he has somewhat been up till now.

And a bit of warning: Untill January 15 I will be working my arse off, as well as moving to a new flat. If chapters are late or non existent, it's because I've had a lot to do and therefore forgotten to update. That said, I will do my best to remember.

Well. It's been roughly a month since I last updated. I worked all of Chriustmas and New Years, finished uni related work, moved, cleaned out the old flat and started to unpack boxes in my new flat. It's been busy, but fun.

A somewhat random question on my part, but I've been curious about how you feel about Harry's romantic experiments. Too much? Too little? Besides the point?

"Exasperated," Snape primly corrected. Without moving, he wandlessly and silently Summoned a potion. "Drink this, then I have another we'll soak your ears in tonight. Muggles and their blasted infections," he muttered the last part under his breath. Standing, he hauled Harry up with him. "Come, I have a contingent of Gryffindors in my flat."
