Summary: When Voldemort turned up on the Potter's doorstep on the 31st of October, Halloween, his spell backfired and killed him instead(no Voldemort or Horcruxes), Lily lives and so does little baby Harry, but James Potter is dead. When James died, he gave bloodwards to their house to save them, his love, that is, a few years later when Harry is older Lily marries Severus Snape, her best friend. When Lily goes missing for a few months on a mission for the Order(she isn't dead) Severus must get over his hatred of James and the past and look at Harry for who he is.
