Summary: This is in response to the request by ObsessiveaboutSnape. Snape survives his injuries due to the effects of a certain potion which saves him, though leaving him deaged. Once out of St. Mungo's, he is dumped in as a Ministry ward. Two of the Aurors abandon him at a seemingly deserted place and then it is slowly revealed that the place is not deserted at all....and Snape gets an unenexpected guardian.
