A/N: This story was written to help me combat the utter depression I felt while watching HP & the Deathly Hollows part 2. However, I am still depressed, watching Severus die really hurt and I am still shaken over it, even though it has been two days since I saw it. Please review, if you'd be so kind. This story follows canon till OOTP, then diverges, but goes through DH epilogue. This is AU, but probably the closest I will ever get to canon.
