I don’t like writing in the present tense. More to the point, I don’t like reading in the present tense. Generally when I open up a story and see it in the present tense I close it after about a paragraph. Alas I have read ‘The Poor Of God’ now and have been so moved by the poetic form the author has crafted, that I have to attempt some similitude of the art myself. Damn.
