Oh, cliff hanger! Given that now I fear you shall leave us hanging on that for a year or more, you terrify me. I do love the way you write Snape, close to canon in his deep dislike of Harry and his meanness and confusion (I like my Snapes nasty). Granted, I could selfishly wish you had updated "Three Times Trouble" instead as it's my favorite, but since this was an excellent chapter, I won't quibble.

Lupin's advice for a young spy is chilling, true, and very sad. I keep feeling more and more sorry for Harry, and hoping Lupin will finally figure out how much Harry's anger is frustration and sublimated grief. As lonely as he is, in his position, I would be sullen as hell too.

Wonderful chapter. You really make me feel for everyone involved.

I actually can see why you're less happy with this chapter than with others, but I think that's the nature of aftermath chapters rather than this chapter being lower quality. It's superb at doing what it has to and keeping us tied into the story. I felt a great rush of pity for Malfoy, who I'm not all that fond of, and I wanted to rush in there and try to help. It's very well written.

The war is over, but not for Harry. Along with Sirius and Remus, Harry is forced to go into hiding... with Snape as their guardian.

This is just about the only kidfic I have ever enjoyed. I'm sure there are a few de-aging ones I've liked, but I can't remember at the moment. Kid Sirius, acting like a kid, stuck in Snape's care is priceless.

Thirteen-year-old Harry is forced into the body of another Harry in a parallel world, where Snape adopted him years ago. And Snape is enraged to discover that his son has been replaced by a stranger. In our world, Snape discovers a new Harry--one who sees him as a father he never wanted to be. Each Harry must learn to survive in a strange new world, and search for a way home.

I am much impressed. I love especially your portrayal of canon Harry caught in a similar but not the same world.

Author's Response: Thank you!  That idea was the seed for the whole story.

I think I love Molly Weasley. She needs to keep all of her chicks in good order and doesn't mind co opting chicks that weren't hers to start with even if they aren't chicks anymore. And the twins should know who they're messing with.

    Author's Response:

Were you talking to Hedwig when you wrote this? ;) It was fun to think of Molly adopting Severus. She would totally do it. :D

The twins would be a world of trouble if Snape and Molly ever teamed up to bring them in line.

    "How much blood?"

Erm, most of what I have to say is gush except, how could you leave us with that cliffhanger?

Author's Response: I know!  I'm evil. It was just the logical place to end.  Just think happy thoughts until the next update.  :)

I um. sort of noticed something in this chapter that is probably mentioned elsewhere, but Harry doesn't learn the term Death Eater in the cannon universe until the Quidditch World Cup in book four, so he wouldn't know it yet.

Author's Response: This came up in chapter 5 (on ff.net, I think).  I edited so that Harry is aware of rumors about Snape's allegiances, and after the events of chapter 5, he clearly knows that Snape was a servant of Voldemort's.  I figured once Harry learned that, it wouldn't take long before someone mentioned the term 'Death Eater,' so he'd be familiar with it by this chapter.  I'll have to look at the chapter again and see if I need to slide in a quick comment about that.

Well, the length of this chapter certainly helped make up for the length of your absence... 10,000 words... yesss! Oh, and welcome back you wonderful person you.

Oh you horrible person you (you can be both) to leave us with another cliff hanger like that, and to make us fear that we will have to wait so long again for another update! Write, I tell you, write!

Wow, you got Voldemort perfectly, the right level of creepy, boastful, and competently sadistic. Poor Harry, it's really worse when Mr. Riddle wants something other than his death.

Oh, and Snape, Lily, and Remus working together? I love you.

    Author's Response:

I can't help the cliffhangers.  They're programmed into my genetic code.

I think your love of Remus convinced me to include him when I rewrote this chapter.  :)

Harry's life is turned around and upside down when a late night visitor from the future tells him the unthinkable. Now he must convince Snape to teach him Occlumency, get along with Draco Malfoy and survive through what Voldemort has planned for him.

Oh Scorpia, you're cruel, but not to us! brilliant chapter. I love how Snape no being nasty to him makes Harry nervous.

Author's Response: (Grins) Thank you for reading and the brilliant feedback.

    IT LIVES!

    But it doesn't live?

Good job, I need to reread this now, and long for the sequel.

    Author's Response:

Thank you Attack. Yes, kind of ironic, it comes back to life just to come to a stuttering death, sigh. I'll have to stsrt taking notes for that sequel!
