Author's Response: Great huh? I should have another soon.
Sev handled it well, though. Gave Harry his marching papers and followed through when the imp wouldn't obey. Well done! Author's Response: Wow, sounds like you had your hands full too! \r\n\r\nSev certainly tries hard to be a good parent, and heaven knows he\'s better than Tobias would\'ve been when he was drunk.
Can't wait to find out what happens next! Author's Response: Aww man, that sounds like something my sister used to do. She wrote her name all over the wall with a backwards J and then blamed my older sister. Drove my parents nuts! As for Harry . . .well you\'ll see.
I really liked this - very true to form. I knew of several mums who decided that their kids could have an art wall - but it was a free-form wall in their kids rooms. Anything was allowed on the wall, coloring, drawing, putting framed pictures up - whatever - but only on that wall. It ended up being a really cool way of tracking their child's growth and interests. And yes, this matches my experience exactly! Thanks for the trip down memory lane, LOL! Author's Response: I had heard of that, but never had anyone try it in my house, though it seemed like the perfect solution to their problem. I think kids need to have an outlet for their creativity, espec. at that age. You\'re welcome for coming along for the ride!
I've never known girls to do this one - just boys. Although I loved playing in my parents bathroom with my barbies. Author's Response: Yes, my nephew decided to flush a pull-up down once. BAD idea! My nieces never did that they played with make-up and nail polish though! And scissors, cut each other's hair to ribbons, LOL!
And I wanted to tell you, your fire chapter brought back memories of my daughter nearly setting the house on fire when she decided to sneak out on our porch - which had a blazing BBQ going on it - and sweep the porch. She got very enthusiastic in her sweeping (She was 3 at the time) and managed to light the broom from the BBQ. I turn around and find her in the process of tossing the burning broom into a stand of bushes! EEEEEEKKK. I rush out with a pitcher of water and douse the broom (Which has essentially melted)and of course the little minx is looking at me as if I've lost my mind! What a day that was! Author's Response: Yes, this has been coming for awhile. Lord, your daughter ought to meet my nephew. He set his basement on fire when he was six, playing with a space heater. I think more kids probably hurt themselves by playing with fire than anything else. My next chapter is up, you can see Harry acting like the brat of the century and also Lily's blood test results.
Good chappie! Can't wait for the rest. Author's Response: Teenagers can be rough too. Half of my nephews and nieces are teens now and I'm glad I'm not their parents, LOL! As for Lily and Sev, it's really a tragedy. |
