- I really like where you're going with this, and the weight limit on the roller coaster was terrific! :) Can't wait for the next chapter.

Thanks for reviewing! Hey, anyone can die in a car crash. The Dursleys deserved better. :o) Snape is going to be very mean in the next chapter . . . and probably the one after that, too . . . well, for quite a while, anyway!
Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...
NOTE: This story has a prologue. It is not necessary to the plot of the story, but if you wish to read it, it is called(predictably enough) 'Prologue to Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat'

- Just wanted to say that this is one of my favorite stories. You have brilliantly captured a wounded child, hiding his terror behind defiance and trying to learn what being loved entails. What is more, you have retained Snape's intellect and sneakiness while making him an overtly caring person. Those characterizations, coupled with a well written and intelligent story, make this one of the very best fanfics. Thank you!

Hey!!! How is everything going? I really hope the scans are still coming back clear! Do you know the gender yet? I bet it's the cutest baby ever either way! LOL, thanks so much! It's all thanks to you that I did post it. I think I am going to write some more, because it is such a fun thing to write! I won't tell you who the discussion is between next time (it will still be Severus and Harry and one of the next gen kids though) because that would ruin it but I am going to post it in November (because that's your due date, isn't it?) So when your beautiful little baby boy/girl is born I shall post as a celebratory thing. Of course, as it is a present to you I shall PM it to you first and then once you have read it (obviously it may take a while as you shall be coping with motherhood!) then I will post it here.
It seems like ages since I wrote this, I posted it on FF.net first and then I was reading some fics on here and I realised that technically it had enough Harry-Severus stuff to be hosted on here so I decided to upload it here too. Everyone has been so nice, and I would also like to take the opportunity to point out how many have agreed about the awesome-ness of your fic too! I told you it was the best! I didn't realise it was on here too, I shall have to favourite it!
