- This is one of my favorite stories, and it's wonderful to see your update. I like when fiction is driven by the characters (as opposed to events), and you've done a great job creating the necessary internal conflict to sustain the story.
Author's Response: Thank you. Yes, there's plenty of internal conflict to go around in this. I enjoy seeing characters put under emotional stress, because that's when the most interesting changes take place.
A duel with Draco leads to drastic and permanent consequences for both Harry and Severus.

- This is a wonderful story. And I liked the exchange between Draco and Dumbledore, where Draco accuses Dumbledore of only listening to Harry. It's a very human moment for Draco.
Author's Response: Thank you! Yes, Draco has a lot building up inside him right now, more than anyone knows...and he is very upset and frustrated, which may not be a good thing.

- Poor Harry - what a thing to have to face. But, at least he's got Severus (and Ron, and Hermione, and Ginny... etc.) I wouldn't worry too much about OOC-ness, since it's pretty hard to write a harry & snape father/son fic that doesn't have a least a degree of OOC somewhere in the story. As for Draco, I'm not sure how I feel about him yet, but I'll read regardless of what you do with him. You've done a great job with this story. :)

- Well, I've only just managed to read your last few chapters and the accompanying reviews, and I have this incredible urge to give you a virtual, albeit late, pat on the back. Writing for an audience is painful sometimes. Reviews can be even more painful. Maybe it's b/c a story is, at least in some small measure, reflective of the author... I don't really know... But I do know that an ineloquently phrased review can seem more like a personal attack, and that's uncomfortable. So, congrats on maintaining your professionalism in the face of difficulty, and of course, kudos on a story well written . - Kodak.

- I was so happy to your update - it's such an interesting story! Harry's is quite a mess, and it'll be fun to see how it works out (but I completely understand about the delay between chapters. mine are slow coming lately, too.:) ).
A short bittersweet story about an unexpected gift that has somehow overgrown into a multichaptered fic. AU.

- lol - I love this story! Harry skipping classes and mouthing off to Snape? He's just asking for trouble, isn't he? I wonder what Draco's up to... maybe a letter to the Daily Prophet? Can't wait to see. :)
