With a strange potion, new location and the odd Muggle Studies Professor along for the ride, Harry's in for an interesting summer, but why is Snape here? Dumbledore had better pray he gets all three back in one piece! Humor, Angst, No Mary Sues, No Romance, no real plot.

Author's Response: Yup! There will be many more fun things to come! Thank you for your review! :)
Author's Response: Yup! There are going to be more scenes of affection coming up! Thanks for your review! :)
I like how you sneakily had Snape tuck Harry in after he was already asleep. You can tell that Harry is growing on him, though I'm worried about the next chapter because it might make the progress go to waste. -P.G. Author's Response: Yes, Snape will develop and change as the story progresses. Harry is indeed growing on Snape, but maybe that will change after the Tantrum. You will just have to see! Thank you for your review! :)
I'm worried about how Snape and Harry are going to get along after the tantrum. After all, it's obvious that Snape is really starting to care about Harry and I'd hate to see him go back to his previously insufferable self. Thanks for writing such a great fic. -P.G. Author's Response: Aw, yes it wasn't a full chapter, but I was afriad that if I didn't update then, that I never would. I'm glad i did even though it took months for the next chapter to be posted. Thanks for your review! :)
-P.G. Author's Response: Thank you PG! It will be a very eventful next day. Stay tuned! :)
-P.G. Author's Response: Thank you P.G. for your comments! Snape often caught Harry in canon in a big castle, so it's no surprise that he could catch a younger Potter in a smaller house. :) Harry will indeed get into trouble, but not until I finish all my homework. Sorry! Hopefully i will be able to write it soon, it depends on the muses because they dictate how easily and quickly the ideas come, and hence how quickly I can type. Reviews do help, I think they feed the muses. :) Thanks again!
I wonder what Severus did the whole day without Hoppity and Harry. He seemed to make himself scarce... Anyway, I loved the trauma of the bee sting. Good thing that Harry isn't allergic or things would have been much worse. I look forward to reading more soon. -P.G. Author's Response: Thanks so much for all your comments! :) It was lucky that Harry wasn't allergic to the bee sting. It would have been a mess if he had been! I think that Severus spent the day wandering around the park, maybe spying on the people around. I don't know for sure though, I think that's left up to our imaginations. :) I agree with you that Snape and Hoppity need to work better together, but it's partly Snape's fault too. Did he tell Hoppity that Harry couldn't jump on things? I don't believe so. In this way Harry is having difficulty with his guardians. To him, a trampoline isn't anything like a bouncy fun house. Hoppity probably wouldn't see a problem with either one, but Snape sees a problem with both. Maybe they will get some things settles after their "family meeting." I have to agree with you about the cliffy too. Long ago I decided not to do cliffies because they were so hard for readers to take, especially if you didn't plan to update the next day. I didn't plan on this particular cliffie, but Snape sort of orchestrated it on his own. That's why I'm glad that it isn't the sort of cliffy that makes people go insane. :) Thanks again!
I enjoyed this little chapter, especially the part at the end that shows Harry's trust in Snape. I'm so glad he feels safe with him. That part made me feel all warm and fuzzy :). I have to tell you, I just adored this line: "Harry didn't care, he was getting love and Snape wasn't getting any. So there." I seriously cracked up at that point. Hilarious. You know, usually in a fic like this, the female oc would fall in love with Severus, but I'm glad you said it wouldn't happen because it's really to Harry's benefit to have all of Hoppity's love to himself. It must be nice for him to not have to share the affection of his guardians with others. The one typo I noticed was that you wrote "one sugary snacks." The rest seemed pretty good to me. I'm curious about how much more of this you plan to write; I wonder how much further you are going to have Harry and Snape's relationship go before they have to go back to their normal lives. I'm really quite excited to read the end and what happens when Harry is reaged (not to say that I want this to end any time soon, mind you, as I adore this fic). Will Snape find out how abused Harry was with his aunt and uncle during hte summer months? Will he and Snape get along after all this is over? Will Harry be grateful for all Snape did during the summer? Really, I can't wait to read more (though I know I'll have to, lol; as a slow updater myself, it would be rather hypocritical for me to say anything about this. RL has to take precedence...sadly). I hope you find time to write more soon; thanks for the lovely chapter! -P.G. Author's Response: Thanks P.G.! :) I was happy to update too, but getting reviews like this makes it worth it. Thank you. Yes, it was the plan in the beginning to make Hoppity for Harry. He needs it. Plus, in stories that center on the Gen relationship between Snape and Harry it is difficult to add any secondary romances in and still focus on the two. It's possible, but difficult, and I'm just not that good. :P In any case, this is what the story was meant to be, so that's what it became. I will have to find that typo and fix it. Don't worry, I will guess that there will be at least 50 chapters for this story. After that will be a sequel. :) Snape and Harry's relationship will continue to develop, but slowly. Snape won't really understand everything untill Harry is reaged. They just aren't close enough to have it happen yet, but I could be wrong. The characters may decide that they are and take it away. We'll see. There have been hints of that this weekend from when I reordered the itinerary for the next chapters (yes, I write along a basic itinerary). Part of the problem is the fact that Harry is a small child now, and is on a potion that should cloud his memories. I don't want to make Harry remember things, but maybe Snape will. Harry will be grateful, but we will have to wait and see just how grateful in the sequel. I think that you will be pleasantly surprised. I personally think that the last 10 chapters and the sequel are the real point of the story, they are why I'm writing it, and they are so good. I will try to write more. School is kicking my butt, I would much rather write than do schoolwork but I have to do school work. :\ Hopefully I will start to write a little every day. That would help a lot. Thank you again for your comments! And thanks for reading still. :)
-P.G. Author's Response: Ah, you noticed! :) I put hints of things in every once in awhile. I'm sure the hints would work better if I updated more frequently, but you should learn about the gold thing next time. That is, if it works out right. Snape has some unfinished business from the last chapter, which may take over and make itself a new chapter. I'm not sure what Snape's after yet, we'll have to wait and see! They are pretty far away from Voldemort, but there may be other people they should be watching out for. In any case, not all is as it seems. Thanks for your comments!
Seriously though, I loved the chapter and I don't think the sentiment was overdone at all. I'm so glad that Snape has gotten to this point with Harry and am excited to read about the conference in the next chapter. -P.G. Author's Response: Thanks PG! I think that Snape is starting to relax a little, maybe. I'm sure that he would have other excuses and reasons though. I'm so glad that you are still reading. :) |
