About me:

Hi, I'm Jan. :D I love Snape and Harry fics, and just mentor fics in general. I first started Potions and Snitches (P&S) as a safe place to find Snape & Harry gen fics without stumbling into Snape and Harry slash (aka Snarry, or HP/SS).

Fandoms that I like to read fanfiction of include: Star Trek, Star Wars, Kung Fu : The Legend Continues, Dragonball Z, Stargate SG1, Batman, Angel, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. I like Gen and Mentor fics mostly. I love hurt/comfort, angst, whump, drama, raw emotions, and vivid descriptions best.

I know how to make and edit graphics, icons, and layouts (html and css). I am a master web searcher. XD

My dreams? One day I'd like to be able to run up a mountain effortlessly, or at least easily. :) I'd like to see Potions and Snitches host every single good Snape and Harry Gen fic there ever existed. I'd like to have people who post here get 100 reviews a chapter. I'd like active-to-the-bursting challenges and contests. I want the site to be a great, fun place that readers of Snape and Harry fics loved and knew as active.

    Oh wow. That was really powerful. Very enjoyable to read about Severus' realizations. The fawn instead of the doe, the memories reviewed. Beautifully done.

    There is one typo you may want to correct: escape. I will post the sentence after it to help you locate it: "Choose to eascape. He hoped the boy would choose to escape."

    Honestly, it's up to you as the reader to decide if he remembers or not, since I have no plans to write more. Though, I do prefer the idea of him not, myself, if only for the tension it will create between them.

The twins weren’t kidding when they said there would be a magical test in order to be sorted. They just didn’t specify what it was. Harry, along with the other children of his year, must take a magical test of strength before the teachers would even consider letting them get sorted. The only problem is, Harry doesn’t know magic. The most he can do is spit out sparkles. With the teachers and the rest of the school watching, will Harry manage to pass his test, or will he be expelled before he is even able to step foot in the castle? A short, three-chapter story in response to JAWorley's Magical Test Sorting challenge.

    AHHHH!! Awesome start! Oh I really hope that Harry will get to stick with Hermione!! She can get him through it, as long as she is able to help! Harry is in real trouble not knowing anything about magic and not being allowed to read his books before! Eek! What a mess! Of course Harry is in Snape's group. *evil grin* I am really loving the start of this story so far and hope that you continue more soon!

Yet, when things do alter themselves within a span of a breath, they fall to pieces so completely, in such away, that they can never mesh back into what was the past .     Cute! I love that Snape named Harry, Harry. Harry could sure use some knowledge, and help spewing better. I wonder who Snape is running from, Dumbledore?

    I'm glad you enjoyed it and that Snape named Harry, Harry. As for who he's running from, yes, I imagine it is Dumbledore. I'm sure after Dumbledore basically lost the last bit of Lily there was left, Snape was angry with Dumbledore. Dumbledore, who undoubtedly believes Voldemort could come back, wouldn't like the idea of such a valuable person just up and leaving because he lost their trust, so Snape would have had to disappear and lay low to not be dragged back into Dumbledore's agendas.

    I loved it! But I didn't get the ending. Why would they be practicing memory charms?

    I am so very glad that Harry got Hermione to respend the day with over and over again, they were able to have fun, do different things, and that probably saved both their sanity. Great story, thanks for writing and sharing it!

Harry is somehow responsible for Severus Snape going to Azkaban for a crime that he did not commit (but that Harry THINKS he did). When the truth finally comes out years later and Snape is released Harry must deal with the consequences.
