    Loved these bits:
“Really? I thought you taught Sarcasm and Insults.”

They both relaxed, then looked at her with embarrassment, hastily separating their hands. “Well, don’t look at me,” she said, “ I always take care of myself.”

Your style of writing is great. Really funny and sad at the same time

Amidst misconceptions and reconciliation, the lines that separate the Wizarding World will be destroyed. Enemies will serve one another as friendships are tested and forged. But first, the Sorting Hat Who Will Not Sort has a message for Hogwarts...

Warnings: some OOC (with reason). Definite and unabashed alternate universe, here: takes place from the beginning of sixth year. Snape and Harry interaction doesn't start until chapter 4.

    This was amazing.
    Wow. Just wow.
My heart bled for Severus and Harry.

A near tragedy and a shocking discovery lead two bitter enemies to much soul searching and eventual acceptance of each other. Much angst along the way though. Some Ginny and Harry.

Title: Chapter 3: Chapter 3: A Shocking Discovery 27 May 2009

I have just finished reading the whole story. I wasn't signed up to this site so couldn't review when I was reading... gonna look back through and do some now though

This story had me hooked from the beginning.

I liked that Harry can do silent/wandless magic and I think that it will be interesting to see how he uses this in the rest of the story.

    Author's Response:

Thank you so much for all of your lovely reviews. I had a look at your profile and saw that the only reviews you have written are for my stories, so I am honoured that you have signed up at P&S so you could review. It makes me feel quite humble.

The silent/wandless magic performed by Harry is really accidental, brought on by extreme stress and anger, but it does prove that he is quite a powerful young wizard.

he he Snape getting a hangover... the bit when Harry goes for the mead made me wonder if drinking problems runs in the genes?

    Author's Response:

Severus did have a doozy of a hangover, but he had had a massive shock. He does not usually drink to excess. And as for Harry and the mead...he did not realise he was getting drunk until it was too late. He just knew the drink was delicious and also that Sev had denied him a second drink in DD's rooms and he was feeling rebellious. He was just being a typical teenager and doind what he was told not to do. He still feels the need to show his new father that he is still the same person he has always been, no matter the new-found information regarding his paternity.

Title: Chapter 9: Chapter 9: Congratulations! You're a father. 27 May 2009

lol I loved the fact that both Snape and Harry got so stressed over the whole 'dad' thing that they both suggested at various times to DD that he could obliviate them! It's not that bad guys!

    Author's Response:

Ultimately it isn't that bad, but the changes in both Harry and Sev's lives is a massive thing to get used to, especially when they have been such bitter enemies for so long.

I liked the way that you didn't rush the confession and that Harry got a chance to adjust to Snape as his cousin before thinking of him as Dad.

    Author's Response:

I think that finding out he was Snape's cousin would be a big enough shock to try to come to terms with. The 'I am your father (or one of them) might have been too much, even for a healthy sixteen year old heart. LOL.

‘Your being in a coma might not have been a holiday for you,' said Severus before throwing the rest of the whisky down his throat. ‘But it certainly was for me.'
    Oooh harsh Snape.
One way that your story is great is that I felt that Snape stayed in character consistantly. (Even the birthday bit where I think you warned about being OOC didn't really come across that way to me cos it was Harry that initiated the hug)
A lot of Snape/Harry stories change Snape v quickly into an understanding caring father figure (which can still be good) but I quite like the fact that in yours Snape doesn't get too soft.
I think I read that JKR said Snape was a anti-hero and a real mixture of bravery and bullying nasty characteristics... not to say I think your version of Snape is that bad - he certainly tries hard to get on with Harry and Harry's friends as the story goes on.

    Author's Response:

One thing I was really determined to do was keep Snape as much in character as it is possible to do while making him find out he is a father of a boy he has been more than antagonistic towards since he first clapped eyes on him. I am not sure that canon Snape could ever have felt anything other than intense dislike for Harry, despite the fact that he is as much Lily's son as he is JAmes'. But the main reason I wrote this story is that I feel this need to redeem the very unpleasant canon character. But saying that, Snape would never turn into a lovable human being. Harry is learning to love him because he is getting to know him. But Sev is no fluffy bunny and never will be.

    Lesley~
