It is a year after Voldemort's final defeat, and Severus Snape has found peace in his life. His quiet existence is disrupted when he receives an unexpected bequest. Truths that he has held for years are shattered and he learns that the Boy Who Lived is his son. Severus must learn to cope with that truth, and he must find and protect his son before it's too late for both of them.

- This entire fanfiction is so wonderfully written. The way in which you compare and describe the moments is inspiring and I thoroughly enjoyed reading everything, even though sections were not made to be entertaining but rather thoughtful, serious and full of pained comtemplation.
I believe that given the situations, everyone (Severus especially) is very in character. The cherry box was intriguing and the journal is even more so.
I long for more and anxiously but eagerly await each coming chapter. I really want to know more about what Harry wrote in that journal and also...is he still alive?
If so, where has he been all this time? I assume the "point me, Harry Potter" won't work, but what about Aiden Snape?
You've done and surely will contnue to), do a great job with this fic and I desperately hope you shall be updating again soon!!

- Wow. I wish that simply summed it up, as I am not even sure how to explain how simply wonderful this little treasure of a fic is. You tied the canon and fanfiction together very nicely, especially with the "look at me" phrase.
I don't know how on Earth I never read this story until now, I truly don't. I was so sad (damn you!) and yet heartfelt at the same time.
Thank you for sharing this. I really loved it and you did a great job telling this story! Keep up the great work!

- Hey this was a lovely little Christmas piece. I really enjoyed it a lot and I am sure it will cause images to pop up during inconvenient times hehe.
I loved the secret santa addition, that was funny and I agree...trelawny *shudder* would be hard to get a gift for. Perhaps some new tea cups? :S
The slip of "dad" fit in nicely and it was "awe" worthy as well.
Overall this was nicely paced and entertaining. I could picture it all! Thanks and keep up the good work, I certainly enjoyed this read

When a front page Prophet article declares, "Harry Potter Got Me Pregnant!" Harry knows he's in for an interesting year, especially considering he didn't do it. - Hey, I really lied this fic and it was an interesting read. The scripture in the beginning was fitting and even though I had to mentally translate it (it's in old English, isn't it?), I understood the meaning and it was perfect.
Even though this was an intereting and enjoyable read, I do feel it was a little rushed and some details were left out, but it's more of an observation rather tn real annoyance or anything such.
Overall, I like this fic a lot and congrats to you for a good job. Keep it up.

- Wow, I really enjoyed this fic not just because it was so well written and had a sense of strength yet vulnerability to it, but also because while reading I could paint the entire scene in my mind, and I could feel that Harry is lost, trying to find his direction. And I could feel what Snape does about his habits. I like how he interacts with Harry, Sam and Potter.
Overall, I loved that Snape was in a cafe through habit and Harry joins him, having crossed paths during a moment when they expected to be entirely in their own world.
This is a great one-shot and I really enjoyed it. I would read it again and again. Thank for you sharing it!

- Haha! This was funny, althouh you never actually said a name for the house, I wonder what it would be called?
It' a good thing that new house isn't able to win the house cup because it would likely end in negetive points! I can see Harry having fun with this, although I think he deserved that last bit too.
Nice work, keep it up! A funny little onshot and I enjoyed it.
Rather than allowing Harry to stay at Diagon Alley after he blew up Aunt Marge, the Ministry sends Harry back to the Dursleys. Harry returns to school after a terrible summer, to find that he's not the only one with this kind of secret. A student has been killed by his family. New screening measures are put into place by the Ministry: Every student must be given a medical exam and interview to look for child abuse. With Dumbledore facing an inquiry, Snape is entrusted with the task of making sure EVERYONE receives one.

- wow, tense fic alright. I can sense the seriousness in it all (not ust by the topic of abuse and such, but because of the way it's written), and you've done an excellent job of portraying everyone ina very believeable manner.
You did not have Lupin and Severus using magic on the muggles as people tend to do (which is annoying because it's so unrealistic), so thanks.
You've done a really good job on everything and I look forward to reading every next chapter you update! Which I hope is soon because I really want to know how this if going to turn out! :)

Author's Response: Severus is trying very hard to keep this quiet, so yes, any use of magic might be detected by the Ministry.
In the summer before Harry's second year, it's discovered that Lily didn't die, but was instead held prisoner for several years.

- Wow, I'm loving this storyline. And everyone is so in-character! It's brilliant, the way you've written it all to be very believeable, especially Lily since no one would be cheerful, healthy and already a knowing mother after being locked away for ten years and than instead of a toddler, she has a 11year old.
This chapter was my favourite of the lot, although they were each very good. I am really looking forward to seeing where you take this! It's exciting, really, and you'be done it all so well. I also like when you've set it, after Harry's 1st year (will Lily be asking him questions, trying to get to know her son? Like who his friends are, his favourite classes, etc etc), because he's also not a teenager yet, meaning as a kid he would still be more open to hugging and the childhood-linking things.
Also you never mentioned though, what became of Hedwig. I mean, you said she was there with them and than that was it. I'd have thought she'd be let out during the night or Harry would be focusing on her as well, but after she arrived her presence seemed to no non-existent.
I love many sections of this fic already, although when Lily asked if anyone smelled dead fish, I really laughed rather hard at that! Glad Severus is going to be joining Lily on their little parenthood adaption and love the little moments with Harry and his mother as well as the Severus and Lily stuff, of course. And the cuckoo clock was a great addition as well. And the idea of removing all the magic to see if she was who she said she was; a very logical touch.
Anyway, I adore this fic already and very eagerly await more!! Please update soon!

- I'm glad you find Lily believable. I'll freely admit I was a bit concerned about that aspect.
- Yes, Lily and Harry will have some time for questions and just generally getting to know each other. That will come soon.
- When you brought up Hedwig, I started laughing till I cried. You are so correct. You see, I have this awful editing compulsion and so much ends up on the "cutting room floor", so to speak. I always end up finding something that maybe doesn't need to be mentioned. Unfortunately, poor dear Hedwig got cut out of Chapter Three. But since you mentioned it, I decided to put her back in. So if you go look, she is mentioned. Thanks for pointing that out! I love readers who pay attention to the small things. :-)

- I really liked this chapter, naturally, but am very curious as to how it continues if Snape is still giving Harry an exception, despite the boy being in Slytherin. Intrigue.
I'm really excited to read more and hope you update soon, it's brilliant and even with only two chapters so far I can see myself following it through to the end and only enjoy it more with each update.

I should have the third chapter up later today - I already have it written, just need to go through it. Snape is very conflicted at the moment. He wants to be horrible to Harry, but he doesn't want to take points from his own house. Later - and usually when it comes down to treating Harry like everyone else - or lower than everyone else - and the Glory of Slythern House, he side with the house. Doesn't mean he won't make Harry's life worse for him!

- Oooh, I really like this! It is indeed a more properly done SlytherinHarry, althouh some vary based on the situation and such, but this one is brilliant in its own way because you've added more canon aspect to it.
I'm really loving what y've got so far and can't wait to read more. And it's a nice touch how it was a change in thought that caused the sorting rather than some of the other reasons people have given to explain it.
