- *sniff sniff* Oh, that was a sad ending! But if you do write the sequel, I'll look forward to reading it. Hmmm... It sounds like Severus didn't put quite enough power into his Obliviates through the years. Subconsciously, he really didn't want for Harry to have to forget everything. That would be an interesting angle to explore in a sequel. Meanwhile, well done! And a belated Happy Halloween! :-)

Harry is already finding fourth year stressful, but then McGonagall informs him that as a champion, he has to have a date to the Ball. The problem is that Harry's not the least bit interested – in anyone – and he can't seem to find a way out of it.

- I truly enjoyed this by the end! So glad Severus and Lily got to spend a fragment of time together, learning how to help Harry and resolving their own unfinished business. This is Christmas in July for me!
Sequel to A Christmas Gamble. After filling in for Father Christmas the previous year, one would think Severus and Harry would have a peaceful holiday, but all that went out the window when the two of them got talked into taking over the business. It seems like insanity, and it probably is, especially after the workshop burns down and they’re forced to try and find a way to sneak a hundred Christmas Elves into a makeshift workshop in Hogwarts. With twelve days until Christmas, and no time to waste to replace the lost gifts, it’s going to take one big distraction.
Good thing Severus and Harry have a knack for pulling pranks.
All the two can hope for is that burning down the workshop is the only black mark their names will get on the naughty list, because if the staff find out who is behind the pranks, Christmas will truly be ruined.

- I loved all of the imaginative pranks, but the best one of all (because it had me laughing out loud!) was the Dursleys' Christmas tree!!! And the ending was heartwarming, to say the very least! Wonderful job throughout! Happy New Year!

- Great snippet of family life! The boys are wonderfully believable, behaviorwise, and the backstory works well. I had to laugh at the five wide-eyed children after the potions accident-- you might consider writing that entire scene for a future story! Nice job!

- Wow! This story contains so many unique twists and turns, it ends up in a totally unexpected place from its beginning. I really liked seeing the developing relationship between Harry and Snape, and the leadership/advisor role that Snape has assumed by the end. Even though Harry is 18, he still needs guidance and a sounding board for his thoughts and plans, and your Snape provides this beautifully. If you're ever stuck for story ideas, you might consider showing us Harry working his way through Lily's letters, with Snape offering commentary and advice at each stage. Nicely done! - I absolutely loved your story from beginning to end! All of the wonderful details, from Sev & Lily, to the modern-day scenes-- it felt so real! And the wonderful irony of Harry & Severus picking each others' ornaments! (I know this IS possible, because I and a classmate drew each other's name three years out of seven in grade school!)
