- Hey, you haven't lost me yet! I was thinking about "Resolution" just the other day, & now there's an UPDATE! Yay! I loved the interaction between Severus and Harry in this scene! I'd also never heard the proverb about being patient in one moment of anger, but it's so true! I keep hoping for a "Shadow chapter"; hope to see another update! Also, it made me wonder, when Harry pointed out that Shadow was also Snape's son-- what would his "real" name have been, if his father had had the chance to name him? Hmm?! ;-)
Author's Response: Awesome! Obviously your thoughts and updates are interlinked, hmm... Glad you liked the chapter! The proverb is Chinese - another good one is 'fall down seven times, get up eight' but I think that's Japanese... Big Shadow chapter coming up next (I always think Severus would have tried to get away with something like 'Septimus' and Lily would have been like 'No. We're calling him Mark.') - LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT!!! I've waited SO long for Shadow to be reunited with Harry, but this is way better than I'd ever imagined it happening! I'm so happy for EVERYONE! And all the reactions from the characters were wonderful! I just hope we get the chance to see Severus bonding with his newest son! Fantastic chapter! Well worth the wait! :-D

- Can't wait to see Lily's memory! As for Shadow-- he's certainly going to be a force to be reckoned with! Manipulating Dumbledore (who is, of course, a willing victim...), and holding his own against Harry, both intellectually and physically! The bedpost scene was great! I could just SEE it! And standing up to Severus, even if he did start out by imitating Harry's cheek! Ha! It would be fascinating to see Shadow settling into Hogwarts (IS he a Gryffindor??) where Harry has long been established, having to carve out his personal niche among the other students who might not see him as an individual apart from Harry, and ultimately having his brother's back against the world, whatever may come. Gee... I'm SO running off on my own little tangents! Well, whatever you write, you can be certain that I'll read it! Thanks for another fun chapter!
Author's Response: No worries - rambling is awesome & helps me think how to set out this story next! Those boys just write themselves, regardless of what I had originally planned for them. More on Shadow settling in next chapter (as for his House, I think he might try to convince the Sorting Hat to put him in Gryffindor to stick with Harry, regardless of what his actual affliation might be!) - Amazing! I love your well-conceived explanation for why Harry & Shadow were both in one body! (I'd been trying to puzzle that out since Lily first told Shadow in the mist.) And what a poignant message for Lily to leave for Severus, especially when he realized that Shadow was "meant" to exist-- I can't begin to imagine Severus' emotions when he reflected upon his part in banishing Shadow from the physical world. But all's well that ends well, hmm? I can't wait to see where you take us next! Wonderful chapter! :-)

- Just got the chance to reread this chapter/epilogue, & I love it every bit as much as I did the first time! WISH it was longer, but I'll definitely be waiting for the further adventures of Harry and his Shadow (aka as the further adventures of Shadow and his Harry!) in Pendulum. Yay! Meanwhile, I might just go back to the beginning of the first story and read both straight through. Wow! Now THAT's a PLAN! Thank you so much for these treasures!!! :-)

- Man, oh, man! I hadn't thought of the owl being Snape in animagus form until I read other reviews, but it would make for an AWESOME sequel! Also, if it wasn't Snape who was hanged but someone (WHOOOO???) on Polyjuice that Snape got final vengeance on, that could be another facet of the sequel. Really, this story has an amazing potential premise you could take in various directions. Best of luck, if you go for a sequel!

- I just had to laugh at the sentiment of Snape being "Harry's git"! I really enjoyed this story, watching their tentative relationship starting to unfold. Great duel, fun Quidditch match! And really cool to have Harry play "father/son matchmaker" with Remus & Neville! Great job! You packed a lot into a 3-chapter story, and I loved every minute I spent reading it! :-)

- Whoa! What a chapter! I love the way you've blended canon with your original ideas, incorporating history and a bit of mythology along the way! I wasn't expecting Tom to actually find anything in the cave, beyond the setting itself, so you really surprised me-- and I LOVE surprises! I can't wait to see what happens next! /// One thing struck me early in the chapter, and I wasn't certain if you did it deliberately or by accident: when Trelawney is reading the tea leaves, I realized she was actually using DRY leaves, not the wet dregs after the tea had actually been drunk. I believed it was an error until I reconsidered, thinking maybe a seer looking for a generalized future wouldn't necessarily need to read "used" leaves, like she would if she were doing the reading for a specific person who had drunk from the teacup. Is that how you intended it? (I'd just never heard of reading dry tea leaves, so I thought I'd ask!)

- Absolutely mind-blowing article! The beetle CAN write truth when she puts her mind to it, as when dealing with the issue of the wolfen. But-- of COURSE!-- she has to sink back into her preferred medium of yellow journalism to finish out the mudslinging. The one huge objection I had concerns the reference to Percy: well, Percy's a prat-- obviously-- but POOR MOLLY! That was an exceptionally low blow, maligning Molly Weasley, who would never cheat on Arthur in the first place, much less with Cornelius Fudge, of all people! I hope we get to see Arthur SLAM Skeeter for slandering his wife! Hmmm-- what sort of curse/hex/jinx would be appropriate... Also, I couldn't believe Harry didn't go ballistic about the slur against Molly, who loves him like one of her own.

- For some reason, this reading of the first two paragraphs triggered a memory of being inside the Great Pyramid, with all those tons of stone overhead... The illumination was adequate, but I wish I'd had Severus with me, reassuring me, instead of my no-nonsense mother... Well, I survived, and the Great Pyramid is still standing! Then, another flashback to the lengthy, deep tunnels leading to the tombs in the Valley of the Kings. Poor Harry! I never suffered claustrophobia or fear of the dark, but Egypt could really set someone off! Now, back to the underside of Hogwarts... 🤫
