It is a year after Voldemort's final defeat, and Severus Snape has found peace in his life. His quiet existence is disrupted when he receives an unexpected bequest. Truths that he has held for years are shattered and he learns that the Boy Who Lived is his son. - UGH, WHY??? My word, why does this stop? It's so stunning beyond words, I can't even. Wow, what a ride these few chapters. I certainly wish there was more and I definitely hope beyond all possible wishes that you'll pop up out of nowhere to continue this amazing story. Truly, this is a gem.

- I love this story. It's amazing.
Harry, having learned of his uncle's plans to step up the abuse against him, decides to run away. At the same time, Severus Snape, having been dispatched to ensure he is safe, discovers that Harry is abused and decides to kidnap him.

Harry and Severus thought once Voldemort died, they'd finally have the opportunity to live normal lives, preferably far away from each other. However, thanks to a Minister out for revenge, a Death Eater who needs a reality check, and a meddling Headmaster, normal and separate are the last words either could use to describe their next year at Hogwarts as they start their newest adventure as master and apprentice.

- Oh my gosh, I love this story. It's been so lovely. And I adore what you did with the battle with Voldemort. I'm so glad that with Toby's element affecting the fates of lives that would've been lost. I don't like HBP and DH for that reason, so it's refreshing to see an altered version.
I'm also glad that you said that the story is far from over. Thank goodness. I'm glad that with the death of Voldemort, it's not, "Okay, we're done here."
Please let there soon be father/son fluff. LET FLUFF BEGIN! (Snape style, of course.) LOL!

I'm glad you find this version of the war and consequences to be refreshing. I too prefer this version, plus I wanted to show how one person can make a difference in peoples lives and the course of the future even without realising it. This isn't going to be a throwaway fact - things are altered now because lives were saved and the outcome of the war is different from canon. And yes, this is FAR from over - we're not quite even halfway through this story. And I will be writing a sequal too.
Fluff? Well, this is a journey so even Snape-style they've got a bit of ways to go. However, that's not to say there's no father/son moments. I think you will quite enjoy the coming events. Thank you so very much for your review!! I will be updating again soon.
Harry gets fed up with the Dursleys and meets a Muggle who falls for him. A certain Potions Master falls for them both, and everyone lives happily ever after. No horcruxes, no Voldemort. AU.

As far as Harry knew, it was all some sort of experiment that only Dumbledore could understand. He had no idea that the cat he had been given to keep him company instead of Hedwig over the holidays before his 3rd year, was in fact, his hated Potions Master in disguise.
Because of the Azkaban escapee, Sirius Black, Severus is sent to stay with Harry during the entire summer, never making a sound nor leaving the boy's side. He could not speak, nor could he defend Harry against anyone other than the criminal on the loose, however Severus does something that no other adult in Harry's life had done before...he listened.

- What a sweet and interesting story. I can't wait for the Marge conflict. I wonder how Sev'll hold up when she starts spewing crap about Harry's mum.
I found Snape's thought of he'll take Harry away if the man was physical with Harry very interesting. I totally want to see that happening.
This is in response to the request by ObsessiveaboutSnape. Snape survives his injuries due to the effects of a certain potion which saves him, though leaving him deaged. Once out of St. Mungo's, he is dumped in as a Ministry ward. Two of the Aurors abandon him at a seemingly deserted place and then it is slowly revealed that the place is not deserted at all....and Snape gets an unenexpected guardian.
