ACK! WHY is this only a one shot!?? This needs to be a long awesome story! I'd love to see the apprenticeship continue. I love the way the conversation went. That suddenly Snape began to piece together the clues that Harry accidentally left. Nicely done. I really hope you continue this and make it a long story. :3

Harry Potter is located in London in the dead of night. How exactly did he end up there, and what has he been doing? Well, any kid with half a brain knows not to talk to strangers.

FINALLY! Little Harry breaks down. I've been waiting for that moment for when he cracked. I'm glad that now he'll be able to open up to Snape. He's been through so much that he really needs someone to foster the child in him. Hopefully that'll happen. Great chapter, bytheway! Looking forward to more. :)

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I had this chapter planned out for a while, so it was great to finally post it and gauge everyone's reactions. It's all uphill from here... mostly, anyway, as no recovery processes in a purely vertical direction, if that makes sense.

I think this is my favorite chapter of Snape. There's something so excellent about him in this. I hope he'll be able to continue unraveling everything that has happened to Harry. That poor child needs someone. Excellent work and flow as usual! Can't wait for the next chapter. Like you, I won't 'demand' it quickly. (Yeah, no, I do. LOL Joking with you... of course... Mostly...)

    Hahahaha :)

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! I'm really glad you liked Snape in this chapter; I was a bit worried that he was too soft. I was a bit unsure about this chapter, in general, so that's really good to hear.  (The truth comes out in jest, you know, so you're demanding a chapter the same way I demanded reviews, hiding our intentions behind jokes...)

You have written one of the most intriguing Harrys I have ever read. He is so smart, I love him. I love his internal thoughts. He's truly what his environment has created him, and you've shown this all too beautifully. I've always felt that JKR wrote Harry wrong in the first book. I always felt something was off, as if their cruelty didn't really bother him or affect him deeply. Which is weird and not real life. So, praises for you. I couldn't stop reading. I love this Harry and I feel so bad for him! Vernon is horrible to him. Keep up the awesome work! I can't wait for the next chapter. Hopefully it'll be soon. :)

    Author's Response:

Thanks for reviewing! I'm all grinning and excited because your story is one of my favorites, so it's great to know that you like mine as well. Most intriguing Harry you've ever read? Couldn't stop reading? Day made. yayayayay 3x! Okay, done gloating now.

I agree, the way Harry brushes off the Dursley's abuse in canon does seem wrong, and it really gets to me that nothing was ever done about it. Molly, seriously, you brought down Bellatrix, and you let it keep happening because Dumbledore 'had his reasons'? And Dumbledore. Don't even get me started.

I do feel the need to defend JK, however, and say that she was just writing for children (who wouldn't notice the lack of realism in Harry's behavior) most likely not expecting many adults to read it, let alone to become rabidly obsessed, and the abuse give the story a fairy tale-like quality, where Harry is rescued from a sad and lonely existance, then brought to a magical castle where he's famous and talented (that was a run-on sentence, but who's in charge here, anyway?). Not to mention, if the abuse was properly explored in canon, we'd need an eighth book.

So now all of us rabid fans can properly explore the abuse in fanfic and vent our frustrations, plus douse Snape with a large dose of reality while we're at it ;) (Speaking of, how freaking long is it going to take for your Snape to pull his head out of his ---? It's making me crazy!)

This Harry is so amazing. And since he's so young, it's also tragic. I hope Snape learns soon what has happened with Harry, so he can better understand. You're doing an excellent job and you had better post that next chapter soon! :P

Author's Response: Thanks for reviewing! I'm really glad you're enjoying the story, and I will indeed be posting again soon. Hang in there :)

Harry has a plan to humiliate Umbridge, but with the help of a young house-elf, he gets a bit - okay, a LOT - more than he bargained for.

I need a follow up one shot immediately. LOL. This was so funny. I laughed so hard. Brilliantly done. :3

When Harry returns to school for his third year battered and bruised, can his hated and feared Potions professor find a way to see through their mutual dislike and help? AU, Abused!Harry

Wow, this back and forth interaction was literally perfect. Severus gently whittling away Harry's internal defenses and the way Harry finally is beginning to break down. Absolutely perfect. And this was extremely realistic, I believe. Your friend who said Harry's actions seemed strange doesn't truly understand how abused children act. If anything, it's canon Harry who acts strange and unrealistic. So, once again, well done and I can't wait for the next chapter. :)

After trying to commit suicide, Harry is sent to live with Snape. But, will Snape be able to show Harry that he is loved and need before it is too late?

So, I think this is an interesting concept. It takes a lot for me to get past a summary. So, I found yours intriguing and had to check it out.

Now I can basically handle OOC. That's fine. Not a prob. I guess it can be considered out of character when it's at this speed. My suggestion is to slow down a little, ease up on the quick pacing. I felt like the events came at me a little too fast.

But my biggest issue is the POV. Harry Potter is generally written with the 3rd person. It's very hard to write Harry and then Snape in the first person POV. They both sound exactly the same - and that's not a good thing. If you must use 1st person, then it's best to only use one. If you're going to flip from Harry and Snape a lot, however, then 3rd would give you far more freedom.

I hope you continue writing. :) You have an excellent idea here and I hope you keep at it!

Author's Response: Thanks. I have changed the story to 3rd person. I will try to go a little bit slower next time. An I wont filp from Harry and Snape so much. I just did it for this chapter so that we can know how Harry got into the hospital and who saved him and all that other madness. Thanks for reading and reviewing.

When Dumbledore sees the welts upon Harry Potter, he removes him from his relative's care at once. His guardian for the summer is none other than Severus Snape. It is an unhappy arrangement-Snape is snarky and snide, making Harry do chores and never keeping him happy. But Harry realises that Snape is not as he seems. In fact, he is just what Harry had needed all along-a support. Warning: CP!

I love, love the fact that Dumbledore was the one to take Harry out of the situation. I've rarely seen that. While Dumbledore is not my favorite character, I love that he has concern for Harry's wellbeing over whatever nonsense the old man has going on with the blood wards. Hopefully Snape will rein in the jerkface part of his personality soon. :P Also, it didn't seem rushed at all, so keep up the good work! :)

Author's Response: Awe thanks :) yeah, someone else on FF.net said they were glad Dumbledore did this too. Thanks for reviewing.

My gosh, Sev! Who put itching powder in your drawers? Seriously. LOL! Good grief, the man needs to chill himself. *giggles* But that's Snape for you. Hopefully, he'll back down a bit after he realizes those 'bruises' are the real deal. Lovely chapter, once again. Poor Harry! My heart goes out to the boy. It almost seems just as bad as the Dursleys, but I'm sure things will look up soon. :) Keep up the lovely work!
