Snape knows Harry Potter's eyes. He knows how they've changed and how come they have. Yet Snape can't escape the memory of the young Harry who he met over old Chinese food, stolen bandages, and a dislocated shoulder. Wait and Hope for the world's end.

Enjoyed this story, particularly Hedwigs POV.
What's in a name? The-boy-who-lived, prophesied defeater of the Dark Lord, son of the supremely intelligent Lily Evans and talented James Potter, Golden boy of Gryffindor, part-time punching bag and house elf of the Dursleys and the bane of Severus Snape's teaching career, Harry's used to labels. Who would want Harry when they can see instead whoever they like instead? Having never been entirely sure who he is makes him a little too open to suggestion though and unfortunately for him, Umbridge wants to banish his old list of names and create a new one of her own. Beneath the names others have branded him with will anyone be able to find Harry?

Hi! I've read the whole story in a oner so I'm only reviewing now. It's great! I love how you built up Snape so that it was convincing when he started caring for Harry, and not too forced which is an easy trap for Snape fics to fall into. I love love LOVE the friendship between the Trio (although I felt Hermione was a bit too negative in the early chapters) particularly the way you show Ron as a really caring friend who Harry can rely on. It's so in tune with canon and its lovely to see in a fic because he's often shown as an idiot or greedy or jealous or... And that's so untrue! So you've got the Trio spot on and I relish it! Hope you finish this some day! No matter how long you leave it, Hogwarts - it's fandom, it's fic - will always be here to welcome you home.
Fyre (Gryffindor Pride *cough am I the only one on this website cough*) :D

I enjoyed this story quite a lot. I thought the first couple f chapters were a bit slow - maybe a bit too much description and/or exposition? But it really took off and the final twist actually caused me to gasp out loud! I especially appreciated Hagrids adoption of Harry, making it different from the more run of the mill 'Snape discovers abuse, has a change of heart, adopts harry, everything's rosy". I thought the characterisation was solid - Dumbledore would definitely behave like that! That's him all over! And Myrridan and the painting(I loved the painting it showed how much thought you had put into this) both felt real and fully fleshed out characters. So well done! :D

Really enjoyed the entire story I thought the 2 main characters had good characterisation, with Severus' particularly convincing based on your AU. Lots of Harry's internal monologue, reactions to magic, convoluted logic and how he talks to the adults is hilarious, and the plot made sense. I thought Hermione's characterisation was too harsh though, as I doubt she would be so enthusiastic (pushy) when Harry was giving the right answers and not looking for her help. I liked the ending, sentimental and simple, just as Snape's statement was.
Author's Response: 😊

Author's Response: Well, this is AU, so Hermione could be a little "more" than in canon, but at least Harry was able to answer correctly this time. I really loved your detailed feedback -- one of the best responses I've gotten on any of my stories! :-) // It's been a while since I last read through Hut, but you brought back some memories that made me smile, particularly regarding Harry's reaction to magic as well as his conversations with the adult characters (particularly the magical ones). Thank you so much for your review!

Liked this, nice to read harry as first person, makes a change. His inner monologue was convincing although Snape's reactions in the scenario seemed somewhat unlikely. Good end line. :)
I just love the line "Harry was a bit leery of this nice Professor Snape and hoped he wasn't being that way because Harry was dying."
So funny and in character!
Thanks
