- SO good, and How I wanted for Severus to have had a friend right from the start.
*relieved breath.* He needed it; and the hurt you feel, when no one cares, or joins in the mocking... the most 'angelic' children can be totally heartless towards each other, if not taught better by adults.

not 'piercing' which means stick a needle or pin through them - hard to do while walking and carrying a baby. ouch, poor Severus.
'To purse' means to thin your lips with anger or uncertainty.
If you are uncertain about spelling,
it is better to look it up two or three times in Oxford Dictionaries.
Spellcheck is not reliable.
When Draco accidently uses a black curse on Harry and turns him into a baby, Dumbledore appoints Snape as his carer. Follow Harry's slow, strange journey back to fifteen - accompanied by Snape ...

Such a humorous story, good to re-read
often, as it is light-hearted.
Many of the other Dursley/Harry fictions are too gothic and bloody. Quite unbelievable. Thank you for being more realistic.
I've been meaning to ask you for years: Is the film they are watching,
'Young Frankenstein' -1974- directed by Mel Brooks, with Gene Wilder, Madeline Kahn, and Marty Feldman playing Eye-gore? Some of your quotes had me wondering...
I adore your stern, powerful, caring and sometimes run-ragged Severus; and I honestly miss the marvellous Alan Sidney Patrick.

I like Nott; you really feel that sense of spy-drama and quite uncertain ground, living at Hogwarts.'Uncomplicated childhood days', eh? Stupid Albus.
Snape has a lot on his plate.
Harry should give him a lexicon of Muggle synonyms and daily expressions, not just wave away the 'changing gears' and say 'whatever.' They all three need help to understand their un-common backgrounds.. Did Snape's father draw the family crest or insigna?

God how I wish the other WIP-wonderful- stories, written both here and other places, would be completed too. by other diligent authors. It is a HeartWrench every time when I come to a halt... over a cliffie.. hate it....the worst is about 80 per cent of the time it will happen. Please, writer-esses, do write fewer stories, and complete more often. A deep prayer.
Well, I loved the title, it makes me feel like Nigella Lawson sneaking into the quiet room to raid the fridge, and I adore how the two wary 'boys' use their fingertips and body-voice to speak together as much as their words. They are so good at mirroring each other. Your story really does fill in the empty space in 'opus Harry P.' where they didn't reach each other. You have helped me find that joy. Have a good seminar and I look forward to read more. It is always welcome.

I tried every year or two during my hiatus without success, and I think I finally realized that it was going to haunt me forever until I just took the plunge and did it. I couldn't find out how to answer your kind response to my review of the next chapter. so I write it here. -I dance around joyfully, when a Real author writes back to me,- hrm....well, I mean yes, where was I?-
'Opus Harry P'.is Latin: opus - the whole work or series of Harry Potter.
Still enjoying reading this story again and again. Severus is so formal, proud and awkward, diffident in friendship; Not many have taken the chance on him , have they? Like a stiff crane spying into the water. Young Harry is carefully..eager. huggles..
They really want to trust each other and you have caught that longing.
