After Harry talks to Dumbledore in Deathly Hallows, he takes a little detour to Spinner’s End, back before it was Snape’s house, back when it belonged to a woman named Eileen Prince. Snape couldn’t be angrier that Harry is his father.

I adore this inventive story. I want to read it both fast and very slowly.. well done.
By the way is is Bodmin the owl Eileen Prince as an animagus? There is just something about the mannerisms that calls out... and that she eats a mouse right in the middle of a romantic scene... It is four o'clock at night, and I'm sleepy and staring suspiciously at the plot. Please, never give up writing. It is a deep enjoyment.
Author's Response: Bodmin is just an owl.

Oh..... rot it all. The terrible, spoilt, immature Ginny will be waving a torch, and tossing pitchforks and making Harry's life glum. She really is a piece of work. What a quiet dramatic scene and the lads are growing more comfortable in their nagging each other. 'They're growing accustomed to their face' * starts humming Prof. Higgins' song*
Author's Response: You know, at this point, my response to this kind of nonsense, saying that Ginny is some kind of evil blight on Harry for being a traumatized child who is afraid and acting on it is nunpublishably obcene. Feel free to imagine the appropriate rude words here.
Au: Second Year. A little bit of healthy snooping reveals some old documents that will have Harry's life quickly spiralling out of control and have him questioning: Who Am I?

Dear Authoress, Uh, what an smarting scene you turned into a cliff- and by his own father. Snapegirl is right; a one-armed hug would be good to give Harry now -poor chap. Doesn't Sev see how skinny, small and touch-starved/scared of contact Harry is? and that his clothes is deplorable? What about Explaining to the little buggar what Parsletongue Is, how you 'use' it, what it comes from, the social stigma, how to live with it... Fatherly protection is a lot more than just walloping because you can. Please, dear writeress, if you don't want us to keep hoping for(much, much) more, would you just send a page hereto with the plot wrapped up in some long paragraphs, because normally I can live with an interesting story hanging unfinished, but your story is unique and hopeful, and touched my heart. I crave a gentle and solid curtain-fall by the creator, not just this....torture of silence.
Please, talented authors, write fewer stories , and then complete them, I beg of you. Alas, Best regards from a sad reader.

Such a story, I love it, and re-read it often. Hm, trying to teach my family 'Dragons Wild' today , but as I can't play Poker myself, the going is slow; we will succeed, but not quickly. Ah, the Washing Machine Museum, and also Amazon from usa, spell it :a 'Wringer' , not a ringer, One writes 'a dead ringer' which means 'an exact duplicate', a 19th Cent. horse-racing term. Perhaps a mistake? Silent movie heroines also 'wring' their hands. Please do keep writing these lovely stories. Deep enjoyment.

I read this glorious story often and fall for those two lovable firecrackers every single time. Please give us a rough draft of more scenes with them soon -- please? To cheer all my other co-readers up, I found that chappie No.#16 is printed and ready to read over on fanfiction.net., under this name and title. Would that there were more.. He is such a delightful, stern and human Severus. His tender, upright caring is very Alan R.-ish (much missed).
You done good.....
"...I am not your father. I will not act like your father. I do not care for you, Potter, and I will not be a parent to you..." ...Harry was more than ready to agree with that and nodded as he finished the drink he had been sipping at nervously. It has been often said that a father and son can overcome anything, that family can overcome anything as long as there is love between them...but what if there isn't love but only hate? In a time of war most rely on their family and friends, but who can Harry rely on when he can't tell his friends that Severus Snape is his father? Especially with how curious they are of his secrets already. It isn't like he has Snape, anyway...to Snape he isn't more than just a burden after all, right? So in his time of need who can Harry turn to? Who can help him as he completes the task that was set on him?

An interesting story. Thank you for writing it. I feel a bit dizzy reading it, because of all the jumps in time. Takes some getting used to. (To other readers, the rest of this story plus it's sequel, 'Ameliorating..,'is posted over on f.f.net. Sometimes you can get lucky cross-checking different 'adresses.') Best regards.
It wasn't that hard. Write an essay about what he had done wrong- surely Potter could not fail at something so simple.

Ah , life seen through the eyes of a lovable scientist, and as seen through the eyes of Jacques Cousteau or the Brit/Greek Gerald Durrell. Have you ever read the latter's vivid recollections of his childhood in the Thirties on Corfu, nature, animals and that splendid landscape? you can taste and hear it humming. He also has a wonderful sense of humor. The first is called: 'My family and other animals' Ps. I recommend your 'Snape in Cape' to Everyone. Always makes me grin, a lot. So well done....... With wishes of a Happy summertime, thank you.

I love, adore and revere this quick scene. It is as my personal medicine in a doctor's bag, when life makes one feel blue.. Helps every single time. Now how about Hermione and Harry together give Severus Snape a belated birthday gift with many volumes of Dr. Suess and a pound of best Italian coffee beans? The genius and dear man does need to laugh much more... How I miss Alan Rickman. He would have had many dry, sarcastic and brilliant, true remarks about our world lacking humanity from '16 and forward. But thankfully I don't have to worry over Cov. plaqueing him. Dear sir.
Harry Potter was reckless. He was reckless and irresponsible and infuriating and impossible and Severus was terrified because he’d just heard a scream. Inspired in no small part by Running Away by Bil.

What a sweet story. Severus and Colonel Christopher Brandon from S.& S. Well done, you. Write more, please? The world is much in need of Vice chairman of RADA, Alan Rickman. A true gentleman, both disciplined and free.
