The summer after his first year at Hogwarts, Harry gets in trouble with the Ministry for unauthorized use of underage magic. Dumbledore talks the Ministry into releasing Harry, and asks Snape to step in as guardian for the summer. Snape is a reluctant guardian at first, but quickly decides that he will use this time to teach Harry about self-discipline and controlling his magic.

- Personally, I think there was too much Lockhart in this chapter. Way too much self entitlement. Bleh, on a better note, I love how you have Harry slowly recovering from his ordeal. Very realistic and Severus is doing the right things to help. So sweet! I look forward to more.

- Aww, I love this story! I like how Severus is helping Harry get through his transformation and how much support the boy gets from Remus and Albus as well. Minerva is so prejudice, you’d think she’d be more understanding. Looking forward to more bonding time between Severus and Harry.

- I just saw this story was updated. I need to know what happens next! Oh my, I've missed so much. I'm looking forward to more from this story, the relationships are more complicated than they superficially seem, and that's to be expected when everyone believes themselves to be a monster. It's my favorite theme to write, the inner monsters we fight against and the question of what makes a true monster. I love this. Update soon--pretty please.
