Every once in a while Hogwarts held a summer camp the week after school ended. Severus was none too pleased that this was one of those years the Ministry and the board of governors had decided to hold one. And though he would like to think there was nothing worse than little miscreants staying on the grounds for a full week past term, there was Potter, strutting across the grounds as a camp counselor, with a group of starry eyed first and second years following after him. Remus kidnaps 10 year old Harry when Albus refuses to remove him from the Dursley’s abuse. Severus is sent to find them and bring Potter back and he's not happy about being used like Dumbledore's personal servant. A Snape mentors Harry fic with a lot of Remus, Weasley and Draco involvement. No slash in the story. No relationship between Severus and Remus. Note: Dumbledore isn't evil in this story, but he is not trusted by the main characters involved because of the decisions he’s made.

- I tried to join the discord group but the link doesn't seem to be working.
I hope to see more interaction between Severus and Harry and also more interaction between Severus and Remus.
I like how Harry seems to have this different view of what it would mean to be a werewolf

- I wish I had as many good ideas as you do. I love reading your work but if I'm honest everytime you add a new story I'm frustrated because it means a delay on the other good ones I'm waiting for updates on. This is of course a great compliment even if my reader's peace of mind is disrupted due to lack of updates. This is also on my alert list as I check for updates everyday and it gets me very excited when I see a story updated with your name on it. Looking forward to what happens next on your your stories. Keep it up :)
Author's Response: I understand. I want you to know though that I almost never sit and write on one story exclusively. I just can't because I run out of ideas and move on to another unfinished story. That I posted this story today doesn't mean I took time away from others. This one was 140 something pages of already written material that has been sitting on my computer for probably five years. Just one of many I occasionally went over to to write a new chapter here or there. I just wanted to get what I have of it posted up so it's not wasting away on the computer. There are still several chapters I haven't posted up yet of it that are already written. I have been making a big push to get other stories I've already posted finished up in the last year and will continue to do so. I did seven chapters on one of them just last week. If you have a particular story you'd like me to finish up faster than the others, come over to the group discord and PM me. Often the reason I haven't finished a story is lack of inspiration for new ideas, and having someone to bounce ideas off of gets me going on a story again. Someone did that with me with Building Doors and seven new chapters came out of that. I appreciate that you took the time to review and let me know what you thought. That is very important to me :p

- I'm not sure whether I should be happy that Harry is free of prejudice and looks at being a werewolf as a way of being empowered or annoyed that he's being an idiot and ignoring everything Remus is telling him about how hard it is being a werewolf.
On one hand, Remus has never really truly accepted being a werewolf as he was turned at a young age in revenge so it was a scary experience for him.
It would truly break Remus' heart if Harry did something to Remus to become a werewolf as Harry seems to be a little reckless and stubborn like that. Harry might get what he wanted and be more like Remus but also it wouls break Remus' trust and get him into serious trouble. On the other hand, it would be interesting to have him present a well reasoned argument as to why becoming a werewolf would be a good thing. I wonder if Ron will mention that bit to his parents?
It didn't come as a surprise that Harry would not want to go to Hogwarts given what he has experienced at Dumbledore's hand.
Given how long they have been on the run for, I'm surprised their money has lasted this long...
Glad for the update. Another good chapter. Hope to see another on this and Summer to Remember and Building Doors soon please !!!!
Author's Response: Remus had enough money to get their initial supplies like medicine, a tent, some clothes for Harry etc and to buy meagre food supplies for a year. Once others came into the picture they helped by bringing food and supplies so Remus wasn't spending every last penny he had.
