About me:

LOOKING FOR A BETA?  Please, please, PLEASE send me a message.  I am actively looking for people to beta for.  I would love to beta for you!  BUT - plesae read below on what sort of a beta I am before throwing stories at me.

I love betaing and always prefer reading betaed fics.  I think it should be a no-brainer and a must-have for any work, fanfiction or otherwise; all good work must have editing and revision done.  Let me tell you, I was appalled to see a few Polls ago that 46% of writers don't beta their work - and another 25% do so only if required by a ficfest.  How depressing.  It's the mark of a good writer that cares for both their work, as well as their readers, that will make sure to have at least one other set of eyes check their writing before posting to the masses.

Depending on what type of fic yours is, I would be more than happy to beta for you.  Not that I really have a problem betaing anything (I will literally take anything, nothing is too __[fill in adjective]____ for me) but there are genres and types that I prefer over others.  Things will go much more smoothly if we both get along and I'm as excited about your story as you are.  I am the type of beta that not only does typographical checks, but gives constructive criticism on word choice, plot and character development, and problems in how the story itself is written.

I'm an interesting person (if I do say so myself) who tends to be quiet and reserved when I need to or when observing, but get me alone and relaxed with you and you may be in for a surprise! I love animals of all types and hope to go on in the animal industry in the public relations/communications area, while writing my own stories on the side. Maybe one day I'll even have my own books published!  I am an English Writing major heading into my senior year and Comprehensive at university with a Biology minor.  Wish me luck on the comp - I get to write an entire novel!  I was in 4-H Rabbits for 8 years, and continue to compete on the national show circuit where I am now known nation-wide for my excellent stock.  For two years I worked at as a stable hand during the school year, which I loved.  Someday I plan to have my own breeding stables.

I also LOVE the Spanish language and culture - actually all foreign stuff, really - and can't wait to study abroad! Music is a huge passion in my life and that of my family - I sing, act, play all string instuments but mainly violin, and play piano. I hope to learn formal dancing soon too. Manga, FanFiction, creative writing, photography, Howrse (virtual horse game), theater, and reading fantasy and sci-fi are my current wastes-too-much-time activities. ;)

My faults?....Bossy, good at lying, stubborn, extremely bullheaded at times, dysfunctional family, brutally honest, sly and underhanded to get what I want often times, severe tunnel vision - what I call my 'phases' - at times, and apparently I have not been 'cultured' yet - says my AP English class. In other words, basically a normal human being! Or as normal as anyone can get, anyway.

Like many with the stereotypical stigma against the house, for years I did not wish to consider myself as a Slytherin.  I aimed instead to be a much more uprighteous Ravenclaw.  Recently, however, the more I read FanFiction and the HP books over and over again, the more I thought about it....and I realized that I truly am a Slytherin at heart.  I am EXTREMELY ambitious, and very cunning and sly.  And people wonder why I make such a good fundraiser... ;)  Now I proudly wear my elegant, beautiful Slytherin crest on my sleeve for everyone to see.  (Courtesy of Harry Potter: The Exhibition.  Yay!)  Plus I absolutely LOVE the colors green and silver together - even before HP - and have always been fascinated by snakes.  Ah, Slytherin to a T, eh?
