Too bad. They'd be great together. :)

That was absolutely brilliant! Thank you so much for updating and making it such a good one :) I had always hoped Jade would come back into it at some point as it is obvious they need each other and Harry was still hurting after the way she just disappeared. When you have time I can't wait to see what else you have in store, hopefully more Jade!

I'm a little sad there's no full-blown sequel... I've just finished 'To trust' earlier today and loved it. It has become increasingly difficult to find well-written Snape and Harry stories, but yours was very good and touching. Thanks. You asked for recommendations, so here are some of my favourites: - Blood Magic - In Blood Only - Digging for the Bones - Harry Potter, age 8 and sequels (on fan fiction net) - A Year like none other and sequels - Better Be Slytherin! - Life as Dictated by a Talking Hat

I loved your story 'To Trust' and was very happy to see that you are thinking of writing some one-shots in that universe... I liked your variation of Harry's travel to Hogwarts. Will we see Snape's thoughts on/reaction to the sorting? And don't forget that Snape promised Harry a visit with Madam Pomfrey (something about a badly healed rib) - I'm not sure Harry would remember that, but Snape will for sure! ;->
Please update soon I loved this & to trust was amazing. Harry in Ravenclaw can't wait
So good to step back into your world.

I very much enjoy the idea of little one-shots like this one for this series. You established the characters so well but you clearly enjoyed widening your scope a bit, and there's still room to play with Harry's suspicion of Dumbledore, his more informed view of Hogwarts' many oddities, and of course the dozen Defence teachers out to get him.
You made an excellent case for Ravenclaw, and that certainly seems like a House Snape could live with, as well. It'll probably drive Dumbledore's plans farther awry than any other house would; at least in Hufflepuff he could have counted on Harry's loyalty to drag him into insane adventures and the war against Voldemort for the sake of those he loved, and in Slytherin Harry would have learnt to fight dirty and plan ahead. Ravenclaw have always seemed the least-defined house to me-- at least the Hufflepuffs had Cedric, who was everything heroic and desirable, but the Ravenclaws don't have such emblematic characters. Scholastic Harry could still have his major leap forward with the Patronus under Lupin's tutelage, but could also be more independent and academically inclined enough to get himself over the hump. And, of course, a Ravenclaw Harry will have far less patience for Trelawney and her class of hooey.
I do look forward to Jade's return in this world, if only to see how Harry has grown up in contrast. There's a sweetness to this Harry underlying the hard-won cynicism.
Thanks so much for continuing this!

Not sure about Jade being in Hogwarts, I really do want to see Ron and how his friendship or lack thereof would play out. But I mostly want to see Snape and if he has to pretend to hate Harry.
