After the Dobby incident at the beginning of the second book, Harry runs away, and Snape kidnaps him. In an old-fashioned house with no comforts and a huge black dog, Harry finds himself at Snape's mercy as Snape plays mind games and makes Harry live through different scenarios. Though Snape seems crazy and psychotic, Harry begins to see reasons behind Snape's sporadic behavior.
There is corporal punishment, but it is different from what I've written before. This is a Mean!Snape story for the most part. If you're looking for a cuddly story, go elsewhere please. Author's Response: Sorry about that. I felt horrible about how long it's been. I slid in a few reminders, but I didn't want to recap the whole story. If something specific comes to mind that you think I can clarify, please let me know.
Author's Response: Well, thank you. :) It does feel nice to have the story completed. There are many forms of vengeance. It can be just as satisfying to return cruelty with kindness as to return cruelty with equal cruelty...and sometimes it can be more dangerous and more insidious to do so. Faced with an eleven-year-old Harry Potter, Severus Snape has a decision to make: How does he like his vengeance?

Before Harry arrives at Hogwarts, the faculty have a meeting and decide that Harry will need a mentor to help him adjust, keep him out of trouble, and make protecting him easier. They decide that this person should the Head of the House into which Harry is sorted, presumably Minerva McGonagall. But things, of course, don't turn out as planned, and Harry is harder to deal with than anyone expected. Nobody asked him if he wanted a mentor, after all...

I want to get to the bit where Harry finally tells Snape more about the Dursleys - I want to see his reaction! Still, I like the pace this is going, and I hope Flint gets his a*** expelled for almost killing a first year... and for muggle duelling! Author's Response: We shall see...don't worry. I haven't forgotten about the Dursleys (or Flint, for that matter), and neither has Sev.
Snape and the twins was hysterical, as was his awarding ridiculous points in his class. Your twins are great! I love words like 'indubitably'; they most assuredly steal those from Percy, McGonagall and Snape, cos after all, they are always getting told off! Can't wait to see what the other professors make of Snape's scheme - and the rest of the gryffindors! But how will Flint get expelled? Oh - he'll want to leave. :P I get it... Snape's evil! Another great chapter. :) Author's Response: :-) Thanks!! I'm glad you like the bits with the twins - that was my favorite part to write, too.
Happy Bunny! More stuff with Blaise and Ron and Harry please! Ron has no understanding of where Harry's come from, which makes it all the more wonderfully painful to read... nice job. And a realistic end to the conversation with Blaise. Harry - this Harry - would definitely have punched him. Author's Response: Hehe :0) Glad you like it, and I'll take your request into consideration. (Ideas are ALWAYS welcome - they make good cures for writer's block sometimes.) Yeah I couldn't figure out where that conversation was going until Harry took things into his own...well...fists. I feel bad for Blaise, now, though. He only wanted to help!
Shape washing Harry's mouth out with the potion for saying he's a freak still seems a little odd to me, but I guess whatever works... and Harry feels a little too angry. I don't know. But hey, he's your Harry, and you know what you're doing with him, so I'll let it go. Liked the stuff with Blaise - can we have something with Ron next time? Ooh, can Ron and HArry have a fight? That would be a spectacle and a half - Weasley temper vs. Harry's 10 years of bottled up anger... :P Just a suggestion! Author's Response: Actually, I read the Taming of the Shrew when I was in fourth grade- younger than Harry, and understood it relatively well. Harry's in a particularly bad mood this chapter, so maybe that's what you don't like. He's got way too much to think about to not have it affect him. LOL I like your suggestion. I'll think about it. Thanks for the review!! Rhiannan
Boy, is Hermione ever going to be jealous! Can Harry please tell her right away? Author's Response: Ooooooo I like that idea!! I hadn't thought of Hermione's reaction. No worries, I WILL use that. Yey!!:0)
The conversation between Harry and Snape at the end here was lovely, just right; you can see Snape's making progress, but Harry's still wary. Perfect. Can't wait for Christmas! Is Harry going to make Snape a present? I hope so! Author's Response: Yey!! Glad you like!! I'm looking forward to Christmas, too. I have LOTS planned. :0) |
