The summer after his first year at Hogwarts, Harry gets in trouble with the Ministry for unauthorized use of underage magic. Dumbledore talks the Ministry into releasing Harry, and asks Snape to step in as guardian for the summer. Snape is a reluctant guardian at first, but quickly decides that he will use this time to teach Harry about self-discipline and controlling his magic.

by chrmisha - Somewhere in the story, Severus Snape hugs/holds Harry Potter (NOT slash). You decide what events lead to this and why he's holding Harry (out of compassion? a bomb's exploded? they are apparating together? etc.). Snape MUST remain true to canon in personality (or, if he changes, the change and cause for it must be clearly shown in the story, and still he can't change into another person entirely). Also, the phrase "unto thou a virgin is borne" must appear somewhere in the story in whatever guise you choose. Lastly, another character from the HP world must make an appearance, preferably in a humorous sort of way.

Harry is heartbroken by memory of his father bulling Snape and isn't sure where to continue from there. Unfortunately, he doesn't have much time to mourn, because when Snape finds him, he is furious at the invasion of privacy. Once dragged to the man's quarters, Harry learns that it's best not to make his Potions Professor snap.

When Severus and Harry become 'grounded' after Harry is caught dueling, Severus is faced with the challenge of making things right with Harry so he can get the help he needs. - A warm and fluffy ending, in Snape terms anyway! Thank you for this story. I loved it.
Two years after the Battle of Hogwarts, Auror Harry Potter is on a raid when he comes across a wizard long thought to be dead. A wizard that, if truly alive, would surely be killed the moment his identity is revealed. Which puts Harry in a bit of a bind.
