Summary: Its Severus' turn this year to go out into the castle this Christmas and round up 'stray' (lonely) students who are staying at the castle for Christmas and who don't seem to be doing so well. It's tradition for one staff member to do this, sweeping the common rooms and castle for any student who seems down and then take them back to (their quarters? A special room? You decide). The goal is to gather lonely sad students into one place to keep an eye on them and make them feel wanted. Severus is no softie but is forced to admit that Potter needs to be rounded up with the others. Who else does Severus snag this Christmas, if anybody?
Questions to think about: Why is Harry feeling down? How long has it been since Severus had this duty and how did he get saddled with it this year? How does he plan on lifting the students spirits (that's up to the staff member) and does he feel like Harry will ruin those plans? Does Harry get rounded up every year? Does Severus come to any realizations about Harry or remain stubbornly ignorant?
