Summary: What if after veritaserum was administered to Barty Crouch and Snape was left alone with him, Harry snuck back and saw the look of utter hatred and fierce protectiveness on Snape's face? What does Harry hear Snape say? How is their relationship affected?
Inspiration: In the movie, when Harry and the others leave the room and Snape is left a lone with Barty Jr., he has a look that seems to speak of his protective feelings towards Harry. [Report This] Summary: What if an entire past had been obliverated? Who has done it? Why was it done?
Mandatory:
Snape can be deaged, Harry can go back in time, all the teachers can be deaged, author's choice. Inspiration: The unfinished fiction by Alarun, The Fifth Marauder [Report This] Summary: What if when Harry viewed Snape's Pensieve it caused him to have flashbacks to being bullied by Dudley and his gang? What if he was not able to recover and was stuck in his own memories when Snape pulled him out? What would happen?
[Report This] Summary: Harry goes back for Severus Snape's old Potions book. Why does he want it, and what does he learn from it?
Bonus if Snape is still alive. [Report This] Summary: Harry doesn't want to celebrate Halloween, since his mom was murdered then (which he still remembers) -- so he hides away in the Library. Who should find him but our Potions Professor?
Must Contain: some angst from both Severus and Harry, Severus saving Harry from the Troll, and/or Harry (or Severus) calling Dumbledore out on Celebrating Voldemort's defeat when he also killed Harry's mom.
Can be a one-shot or multi-chaptered fic.
[Report This] Summary:
A spacecraft appears over Hogwarts in the middle of the night, and an abduction occurs. However, there are no green men or xenomorphs on the ship. In fact, it seems abandoned, except for the dying computer... The abductees awake with body parts taken and replaced with mechanical parts, and search desperately for a way to escape, and, more importantly, for the truth. REQUIREMENTS - More than one chapter. - Obviously, it must centralize on Snape and Harry, and their attempt to solve their way out of this situation and possibly escape. - Harry, Snape, and any other abductees are stuck wandless onboard. - Snape's voice is taken by the ship's computer and is the only thing the computer does not attempt to 'replace', most likely because he is most aware of/ most likely to figure out what is happening. - Harry's eyes are taken, and replaced with a single camera type device. - The ship's computer attempts to create a new, sturdier, biological 'body' from harvested parts from the abductees, in a desperate shot at 'survival'. - Despite its delapidated state, the ship's advanced technology cancels out the magical wards surrounding Hogwarts, thus being able to breach it so easily. - None of the abductees are killed because of having 'parts replaced', but if anyone dies it is up to you. - The computer must be seen by Harry and Snape seamlessly 'assembled' in his pieced-together human body by the end of the story. OPTIONS - It is up to you how many people are abducted. It could be a select few or the entire school, your decision. - It is up to you who the other abductees are and what the computer 'harvests' from them. They can be all be students, include order of the phoenix members, whatever. - You can kill anyone off, but obviously Harry and Snape must survive through most of the story. - It is up to you if the ship's technology takes advantage of magic or not. - It is up to you if what the computer takes from Harry and Snape is particularly signifigant or not. - The ending is up to you entirely. WARNINGS Kidnapped/Abducted Physical Impairment Violence (Although if you can manage this concept without much violence then that would be impressive!) I ask that anyone responding to this challenge bear in mind the rating and not go overboard on violence. I expect mostly it should be 'psychological', but I think this would probably be a relatively dark story, so keep it in mind. [Report This] Summary: In another of my favorite book series (The Dresden Files by Jim Butcher, if anyone is interested), technology and magic simply do not co-exist very well. In fact, magic has a tendency to foul up technologic devices. While I've seen it briefly in a few fics, I would like to read more where this is addressed. The more responses and variations, the better!
[Report This] Summary: After OoTP Harry is taken from the abusive Durlsey's care by either Dumbledore in secret or the Muggles police or somehow else and now he has to live with his biological father - Tobias Snape.
He can also be taken there by Dursleys, who somehow find out about it.
[Report This] Summary: Transfer students are rare at Hogwarts....Harry, of course runs into the only girl as a first year. They seem to know each other well, though it's the first time they've met, right? Separated into Gryffindor and Slytherin, they'll have to fight to stay friends...something Professor Snape has had to deal with as well.
Contains: Reincarnation and Reincarnation Romance including Visions of Another Self, Interhouse Unity, and angst [Report This] Summary: Dumbledore and Voldemort are one person who actually has Dissociative identity disorder (multiple personalities/people in one person). Neither Dumbledore or Voldemort ever notice it, but Harry and Snape do. Both begin to suspect something and they are forced to work together to solve what's going on.
