Summary: When Harry is hit with the killing curse by Voldemort for the second time (in the final battle), something unexpected happens. What is it?

This something, whether immediately, or sometime after the fact, causes Harry to disappear (kidnapped? vanished?) or go into hiding or leave the Wizarding World of his own free will (you decide).

Somehow, a female character(s)--Hermione, Ginny, and/or Luna--drag(s) Snape into the mix of looking for Harry. Why are they trying to find Harry? Why is Snape needed? How does she manage to convince/bribe/coerce him into helping?

Should include guest (or more) appearances from Ginny, Shacklebolt, and McGonnagal.

All characters must be kept IN character.

Summary: Something happens (couldn't have guessed that, huh?) and Harry temporarily loses his memory. It can be some sort of potions accident or a strange hex/curse, whatever, but it is determined that his memory will return.

When Harry does start to remember things, however, they are not scenes from the life of Harry Potter, but that of somebody else!

~The life Harry is remembering can be that of anyone in the magical world (Snape or Cedric Diggory, perhaps?) except James Potter

~As Harry has no memory of his own life, he thinks he is (and behaves as) this person

~Whether or not there is an actual "cure" for Harry's condition and whatever side effects is entirely up to you

Summary: Snape or Harry gets a pet which takes an instant liking to and therefore bonds to the other as well (understanding that the other is its master's protector/charge). The pet bonds with both of them and could understand what they say (like Hedwig understands Harry) and they could understand what the pet thinks/means/gestures (roughly).

Summary: Sometimes, changed details can change the world. Chose one, or combine more than one of the following 'what ifs' and write a fic telling how it would change canon events.

• What if Severus never joined the Death Eaters?
• What if Sirius wasn't the black sheep of the family and didn't become friends with James/became friends with James and they both became dark?
• What if Petunia had magic?
• What if Voldemort didn't find out about the prophecy?
• What if Lily was in Slytherin?
• What if Harry was dark?
• What if Tom Riddle wasn't dark?

The only must is obviously some kind of relationship between Harry and Snape [not slash obviously], but whether it is a good or bad relationship is up to you.

Summary: Write a story where Snape collects something very unexpected and un-Snape-like. What he collects is totally up to you: it could be Star Trek memorabilia, muggle objects that he is confused about, rubber chickens, etc. BE CREATIVE! The following three things must happen during the fic:

A) Harry must catch Snape messing with his bizarre collection

B) Snape must try to hide his collection

C) Snape must try to do whatever it takes to preserve his dignity.
