Summary: During Harry's first year at Hogwarts, Severus is expecting a James look-a-like and instead is faced with a child who looks exactly like himself. He is confused and shocked by this as is everyone else.
How is it James Potter's son looks just like Severus Snape, Half Blood Prince? And so begins the angst and mystery of Severus learning that he is worthy and capable of being a Father, and all that intails.
Bonus: Would like Lupin to be in the story and Sirius too, at some point but it isn't really necessary.

- Harry helps Snape in the past in some way... perhaps he sees how much of a jerk James is and gets Snape and Lily together for a short while... where they end up conceiving Harry? He can have a part in this even if it's unintentional.

The rest is up to you! Be creative though. I would love to see the familiar old places and some new ones, and perhaps something new in the fan-fiction universe. Yes, Snape joined the death eaters and yes he is in love with Lily, but try to put a spin on this that no one else has done yet!

Whatever the case, it comes as a surprise to both Harry and Hermione. How do they react to Snape and to each other?
I would prefer it not take place pre-Hogwarts, so that they would first get to know each other without knowing that they are related or being adopted.
