Snape observes the boy appearing to be neglected wandering the streets at all hours of the day. What will he do?
[Report This] Summary: *Takes place any summer* Vernon has some problems at work and the Dursley's finances become a bit tight. They end up moving to Spinner's End several houses down from Snape. Vernon makes Harry get a summer job at local restaurant that Snape frequents, as well as odd jobs around the neighborhood to make the "family" some money. Snape runs into Harry several times...being locked out of the house at night while the Dursleys eat dinner, spending the night at the playground because he's locked out, breaking his back doing yard work, digging through the garbage cans at the restaurant to grab the old bread they throw out etc.
[Report This] Summary: Instead of catching the night bus the summer before his third year Harry gets on the muggle bus instead after grabbing one of Vernon's whiskey bottles on the way out. Never had a drink before he reacts rather badly and gets thrown off the bus.....at Spinner's End.
[Report This] Summary: While at Hogwarts, Severus and Lily created a book that kept their memories and events together. The only way to access the memories is to write in it, much like Tom Riddle's diary. Harry stumbles upon this book.
[Report This] Summary: Harry never arrived to his sorting ceremony at Hogwarts. Search parties has been sent out but to no avail. Snape found the him during the Yule holidays, but he'd never expect to find the Boy-Who-Lived at the hospital and currently dying of an illness.
Story must have: Harry lived his life in a hospital bed. Snape never told anyone of Harry's where about after learning of his illness. He knew Harry's magical core is deeply affected by his illness. Snape becomes Harry's regular visitor.
Snape becomes more parental. Or becomes a big brother.
Summary: James Potter survived that Halloween night but Lily still died. Harry Potter is the oldest brother of triplets and is the only one scarred by the Unforgivable curse. James raised the triplets as a single father, but not without difficulties.
Must have: James grew resentful of Harry over the years (he believes Harry to be blamed of his wife's death) Harry's younger brothers were adored by their godfather, father and the Wizarding public except him. James opinion of Harry grew worse when he finds out that his magical affinity is Dark instead of Light. And even worse when he learns of his dark ability as a parseltongue.
Potions Master Snape must initially prepare to hate Harry after the sorting but realized the strange dynamics he has with his family, especially the father. Snape personally gets involved.
