Summary: The prophecy about Harry has a twin seen the same night thousands of miles away by a humble psychic. Cue (4th - 6th) year. Hermione is studying about prophecies in a bid to help Harry when she stumbles upon a book by a little known psychic. Within it is the vision which Hermione instantly realizes is about her. It says that SHE will be the one to kill the Dark Lord. Suddenly her whole world is thrown into chaos. Harry, no longer the chosen one, is summarily dismissed by most of the wizarding world until an unlikely hero swoops in - with some rather dashing black robes and a sneer or two - and helps the golden trio find their footing amid suddenly shifting political and social unrest. I would love for Severus to adopt Harry and be a guardian to Hermione since her little family would be unable to help her. Summary: Harry Potter has come through time and again. Now, he has gone back through time to save the ones who put everything on the line. Small problem... there can be only one Harry Potter. When the future of the world is at stake accidental magic turns things on its head. Harry has deaged and forgotten the fact he was on a mission and severitus should exist in there somewhere.

Summary: Harry has to sit at Slytherin table for some reason, and while he's there he discovers some interesting things. Things like the fact that Draco is actually kind of funny, the Slytherins have some kind of secret that Harry is determined to find out about, and Snape is starting to not seem that bad. The Slytherins really look up to Snape and Harry is starting to see why.

Why does Harry have to sit at Slytherin for meals? How long does he have to be there? Who or what is making him do this? All up to you!

Take note: Harry is NOT in Slytherin. He has not been re-sorted and does not have to sleep in Slytherin.

I could easily see Harry somehow finding out that Snape is his father because of whatever secret the Slytherins are hiding. I could also see Harry just really looking up to Snape and Snape becoming his mentor.

This should not be a drabble. It should be a full one shot (4-5 pages or longer), or a multi-chapter story.

Some ideas to get you going:
- Snape is Harry's father, guardian, or godfather and is angry that he is that relationship to Harry (they just found out) and is punishing Harry (even though it's not his fault) by making him sit at Slytherin.
- Harry has somehow become Snape's apprentice while still in school, and Snape is determined to make Harry miserable by making him sit at Slytherin table.
- Harry is being punished for some wrong doing.
- Snape is the Headmaster (or temporary Headmaster) and thinks he is taking revenge on Harry by making him sit with Slytherin, but instead Harry rather likes it at Slytherin table because it's different than what he's used to.
- Because Harry is sitting at Slytherin, Snape observes him closely and discovers some things about Harry's health.
- Harry is there at Slytherin, but the Slytherins are totally ignoring him, which suits Harry fine because he feels like a fly on the wall and gets to observe them without interacting.
- Harry is there at Slytherin, and they are being pretty nasty to him. Does he retaliate or just sit there and take it? What does Snape think about it or do about it?

Summary: Severus Snape is master of the mind arts, including hypnosis.

Summary: Harry has always been brought up with the knowledge that he is good for nothing, useless, basically not worth the time nor effort and he is a failure in everything he tried to do (canonical child abuse).

Enters Severus Snape. Canonically despises Harry and uses the same words/phrases that the Dursleys used on Harry and this reinforces Harry's POV on his self-worth. Due to Draco's obsession to fly better than Harry, he ends up neglecting on his classwork and this reflects in his Potions. Severus then has this bright idea to use 'reverse psychology' and started praising Harry whenever Draco is in earshot, hoping to urge Draco to work harder in Potions.

Crucial: Harry knows what Severus is doing and during detention or some other opportunity, confronts Severus about it and (bonus!) tells him, "I know you don't mean it but do you truly think I have potential?"

Cues Severus having an epiphany and thus finding out the reason for Harry's lack of self worth and attempts to make Harry believe in himself. Lots and lots of angst and hurt/comfort!
