I wonder what´s wrong with Harry. Magical ability testing is a good idea.

Again, I'm really enjoying the characterization of Severus here. And you've introduced some really unique and well thought out concepts. I'm excited to read on - you are developing this all at a brilliant pace!

Author's Response: Thanks! Severus' character travels a long road in this story and I hope you enjoy his character's progression.

Very interesting; I liked the idea of magical levels and Harry's interaction with Severus.

Author's Response: I'm glad to hear you liked the idea of magical levels. I figured there had to be some way to "measure" how strong a witch or wizard was. People are curious and competitive that way. Thanks again!

I really liked how you've created all the levels of magic potency and theories, and it sounds like Severus is on the right track, but when Sev is worried, you know it's bad.

I like Flurry. I have a little spoiled brat of a cat, too, and he's quite smug about it. You can just tell by the look on his face that he knows he's got us wrapped around his little paws.

    Author's Response:

Yes, everyone should be worried when Sev is. Yay, you liked the levels and theories. Severus is such an academic and rarely do we see that in detail besides with Potions or Defense. In my experience when someone is very smart, the person tends to be interested in lots of things, not just one or two subjects.

Flurry is such a cute little cat. I wished mine was more like her. Instead, I have a psychotic Roxie who is currently staring at her own shadow and watching it move. But that doesn't make her psychotic, it's that she bites and perks her ears back just right that makes her look evil. However, she's still a spoiled brat.

No Legolas OR Thranduil?!?! That's rough. I wouldda been sad too. Forget Frodo, bring out the elves! lol ;D

So, on to the real review. Let's see...hm...Sev's pretty powerful, isn't he? Wow! A big ol' 908. somethingerother That's great for him! No wonder he can be arrogent and get away with it! XD And Harry seems, seemed to be getting up there too. But why is his magic slipping? Hmmm...This is a tough one.

Oh my! Sev's scared! He's worried! He's, he's...mad at his cat? Hahaha! That's great! Poor guy, doesn't like that his kitty is sleeping on Potter. Poor guy. I'd be mad too. And now he goes to Poppy...Aww! He's so worried!
O! Now he's really scared and doesn't want to admit it. And he LIED to make HARRY feel better? *falls out of chair* Ha! He DOES have a BIG heart! HAHAHAHAHA!Poor Harry though. I feel bad for him.

My favorite line was: "Harry wonder if this were how potions ingredients felt before being chopped up by Snape." That was just too perfect! XD

Great job! I loved it! I'll try to read more later today. Have a cookie! :D

    Author's Response:

Sev is really powerful. He just has that powerful air about him, and the guy survived being a spy for years. That alone should show he's a powerful wizard.

I don't know if he was mad at Flurry, perhaps a bit more jealous than mad. lol. ;)

Severus knew Harry wasn't just normal sick, but sick sick. He just didn't know what it was. I think any adult that wasn't a right jerk would try not to worry a child in that circumstance because it could turn out to be nothing or something minor. Not to mention that if a child even an older teen sees an adult worried, the child will pick up on that.

I'm happy to hear you liked that line. It is so something that Harry would think.

    Yay, I get a cookie!

Snape being jealous over his cat is cute "._."

Author's Response: Thanks. He won't admit it, but he cares about that fluffy little monster a lot.

Oh gosh, this chapter was good! Somehow I can see Snape with all those pieces of parchment spread all around him. ;-)

That was a really cool thing, coming up with how to predict a wizard's magical power.

I could soooo relate to Harry when he was searching for his glasses, and panicking. I've been wearing glasses since I was 5 and feel lost without 'em. When I "misplace" them in the morning if I am staying over someplace new, I always freak out in that quick moment before I locate 'em. ;-)

Oh, and I just wanted to cry when Harry's wand didn't work for him towards the end there. Seriously. That was heartbreaking.

    Great job!

Author's Response: Thanks for the lengthy review. I'm glad you can relate to Harry. I don't wear glasses myself, but I can imagine how freaked out I'd be if I couldn't see when I woke up in the morning. I was hoping that Harry's wand not working for him would be heartbreaking to you guys, the readers.

No, I haven't been sneaking ahead to look at the other reviews. :) I liked this chapter as well, so I'm definitely going to keep reading. I'm certainly intrigued...
