    Huh! Quite clever and simple (simple is always best). It never occurred to me to think Dumbledore actually DID send someone to check up on Harry. And making it Severus and having Severus lie was quite clever. I enjoyed this! And you close a J.K. Rowling universe plot hole quite nicely. Well done.

    Hey!
    Wonderful idea, I don't think I've ever read it before. Sad story, at least for Harry... and I think the blame is going to hurt Snape endless as he knows the truth now. Can he live this way? Well, I'm sure that his years as Deatheater will do him good and allow him to somehow live with the blame. But I'd really like to know his thoughts when he next meets Harry. Or Dumbledore.

      Woot!  That, for such a short story, was a quite enjoyable read.  I adore the way you have Snape realize his mistake, with the various images flashing through his mind.  Very well done!
