Reviews For A Time and Place to Grow
Ooohh, what a nasty piece of work Harry is! So much like his father :-) Of course, it's rather 'asking' for it if you put these two together in a room, let alone letting them share one, but on the other hand it shows that Snape is having *no* shenanigans. He simply expects them to behave, no matter what. By not tiptoeing around the issue or trying to separate them physically, Snape - very wisely, as a parental figure - puts the responsibility of their behaviour in *their* court.
Thanks for the update! I wonder if Harry will ever learn. Plotting against Draco against Snape's wishes. I thought he had finally learned. I was surprised that Snape didn't spank them instantly after the continued fighting. If they go on like this I have a feeling neither of the two be sitting down comfortable. I hope Snape does not treat Draco better than Harry, because he is his godson. But Snape seems just, so I hope he will stay that way, especially as it seems that Harry and Draco are more fighting for a place with him and for his affection. It seems it is not only the hate for êach other from the last 5 years but also something like sibling rivalery that keeps same fighting. I can't wait for more! Please update soon.
Some very good points about Neville. I hate it when people say that Snape 'bullies' Neville: he treats Neville like a normal child and like any normal child he expects Neville to pay attention in class and not make a (potentially dangerous) mess of things. To suggest that Neville is somehow 'special' (read 'imbecilic and fragile to boot') would be a disservice to Neville. Neville had a confidence (towards adults, not towards his peers) problem before he ever came to Hogwarts. Neville will have to overcome that, and to pat him on the head and tell him he doesn't have to conform to the rest of standards of the classroom because we can't *possibly* expect *Neville* to achieve such a thing would not only be a gross injustice towards Neville, but would also be counter effective... So, applause for your handling of the 'Neville thing'. And I love the way Snape's approval or disaproval starts to matter to Harry more and more.
I love this story!! I've been compulsively checking for updates everyday (OK, several times a day) since I finished reading it a few weeks ago. I can't wait to see what happens next. I also can't get enough of your Snape character, who I find brilliant. Screw grad school, write some more chapters of your story!! Your fans are anxiously waiting ;) Having Draco around should definitely be fun!!
I loved the speech Snape gave to Harry and the birthday present. Maybe Harrys new teddy bear? Something he can hold or listen to when he's upset or anything.. Very cute. And the nerve of Harry to speak of Alice infront of Neville and Snape! He really deserved that spanking. Very fitting to give him sixteen spanks. And the threat about the hairbrush was great. Maybe Snape will spank Harry with it sometimes? The only thing I only have one question. How red is Harrys bottom after a spanking and how far is Snape pulling his underwear down? An excellent chapter!
Awww, I hope he keeps the pocket watch with him all the time! Snape gave such a good, down-to-earth talk, and Harry's jsut so cute when he tried to do the right think and messes up! Brilliant!
