Reviews For Muggleville
So his spy cover is blown, hmm? That's interesting. Now he can't use that as an excuse to mistreat Harry or to keep from getting closer to him. Looking forward to more! Author's Response: Nope! That's the plan! No excuse for Snape, whatsoever. Maybe he will let his guard down a little. Thanks for commenting!
She and Arthur Weasley should meet--they'd really get along, and they could have such fun comparing Muggle artifacts. Looking forward to the next chapter! Author's Response: Oh, what a great idea! Perhaps Hoppity and Arthur Weasley will get together one day and talk Muggle "artifacts".
And the interaction between Harry and Dumbledore is wonderful. Dumbledore has had to make a lot of tough decisions regarding Harry's welfare, and I can see both sides. In some ways, Privet Drive was the safest place for Harry, but I do feel like Dumbledore could have done more to ensure his well-being. But hopefully, having this summer will be like a second chance for Harry. Author's Response: Hi Kristeh! Thanks for reviewing! I'm really enjoying reading them all. You've reminded me about Remus... unfortunately, I hadn't planned on doing any more with him, but maybe I'll write him in later on once they get back... if they get back. :)
Author's Response: NOPE. In the future, please don't be so rude to post a one line question, IN CAPS, as to whether a story has been abandoned or not. All caps are assumed to be yelling in online communication. It would be much more appreciated if you would privately message me, tell me what you like about the story (or that you like it at all would be nice!), and that you were wondering if I was planning on updating it. I update for people who want to read it. Thank you.
Author's Response: Thank you!
I also wondered about the burn on Harry's hand, from the bacon the first day of school. Especially if left untreated, at first, it was likely to be worse than if he'd immediately run it under water, but it wasn't mentioned by the nurse doing the physical, or by Snape when he went over Harry's body later than day. Thought it might make for an interesting sidelight. I wondered, too, why Snape and Hoppity didn't just modify the memories of the Social Workers, to avoid all the lies and shenanigans of having to concoct back story for Harry's ill health. Let 'em think they'd checked everything, and it was tip top! I very nearly cried when Snape took all of Harry's toys, thinking about how he never had any of his own before, and I was almost certain he wasn't going to give them back. Glad he did! Thanks again for a winderful story. Hope you update soon! Author's Response: Hi jharad! Thanks for your amazing review. No, Snape is not just being the cruel. The Occlumency lessons are trying to build resistance of Harry's mind to any commands Voldemort might send through their connection later on. The meditaton at the beginning is supposed to help him develop clearing and controling his thoughts, which should help him do better in Occlumency later on. Harry is good at resisting the Imperious but he's terrible at Occluding. Snape is trying to help him get good at resisting a sort of mind magic that is like both of them, hoping that it will help Harry with Occlumency later on. I forgot about the burn Harry had. I guess it wasn't too terrible, more shocking and that it went away. I don't think that the Nurse of Snape noticed it, but when I revise that chapter, I will try to address it. Snape and Hoppity are trying not to use magic. They were told not to, and they don't know if they will get into trouble for using magic on US workers. Modifying the social workers' memories was Plan B if Plan A failed. Thanks for taking the time to comment! Sorry for taking so long to update. I hope that you enjoy the new chapter if you are still reading.
