    I'm glad your Severus has had an epiphany about his using Harry to gain vengence.  Why/how could he gain vengence on the dead???  Now he's getting some clue about how truly damaged Harry is.  Hee, hee!!!  I'm glad someone wants to save Harry. 

    Author's Response: Severus's idea of vengeance on the dead is based on the idea that wizards have of the afterlife here, that the dead can watch over the people they once loved and see how the world continues without them. I think that eventually he will see how hollow and empty his revenge is, but it will take a lot to make him forget how horrible Harry's parents were to him.

    Your style is fluid, your plot is flowing nicely and your evil Snape is wonderful!!!  Finally, this is what an abused child would look and act like.  Except at the level of abuse you put him at, he would never have survived to become a happy, healthy (emotionally) adult.  I wonder if he can be saved in your AU.  I look forward to finding out!



    Author's Response: I am often very puzzled by the amount of abuse that authors will put Harry through and then they have him share a few hugs with someone or go through a few obligatory counselling sessions before riding off into the happily ever after. I don't think it's anywhere near that simple and I'm not sure that my Harry can be saved.

    Please do continue it, at least a little bit further. You are an excellent writer, and it's not often that I find a story like yours that I truly enjoy and would look forward to reading more of.

    I would especially enjoy seeing how Harry develops in Slytherin. It would be wonderful to see how he becomes more confident, independent and powerful, and also what kind of a part Draco plays in his life too.

    That was a very effective beginning.  I liked how Severus was so conflicted in regards to Harry and it was very cannon, I think, to have Draco revealing Harry's life at Hogwarts to Snape.  I really hope that you will continue soon, am looking forward to more revelations and more Snape mentoring.

    Draco does make a convenient little plot device, doesn't he? It's a pity that he won't go back into the plot device box when I'm done with him ... he keeps popping back up!

    Brilliantly written. Professor Snape is spectacularly in character and, from what I can tell, I love how this is going. Keep it up, I await the next chapter eagerly.
